“Ms. Parsons, what do you want to talk to me about?”
Brandon was still holding Savanna’s slender waist and his thin lips curved into a faint smile as if
everything was under his control.
“Do you know something that Finn didn’t tell me?” Lilia didn’t intend to beat around the bush and went
straight to the point.
“Ms. Parsons, you are right, but I don’t want to interfere in your family affairs.” Brandon lowered his
head and looked at Savanna affectionately. “Other than my wife and children, I have no interest in other
people’s affairs.”
“If that’s the case, why did you help us just now?” Lilia’s eyes were red and she was emotional.
“Saving a life is a good deed. Just consider it as good karma for my wife and children,” replied
Brandon.
“Then why not be a truly good person and tell me the truth directly?” Lilia felt that she was about to go
crazy from being kept in the dark.
“Because the matter is serious. As an outsider, I shouldn’t tell you anything. I’m sorry I can’t help you,”
Brandon said as he looked at Lilia with sympathy. His facial features looked similar to Finn’s, yet their
eyes were completely different.
Hearing this, Lilia felt a sharp pain in her heart.
She felt suffocated and powerless like a fish that had been thrown on the beach.“Why? What did you hide from me? Why can’t I know the truth? What exactly happened?”
Brandon remained the same attitude. “I’m sorry, Ms. Parsons. I can’t tell you the details. If you want to
know, you should ask your boyfriend.”
“Forget it. I will ask him myself.”
Lilia shouted. After that, she turned around and ran away dejected.
As a woman, Savanna felt her heart hurt when she saw Lilia’s helpless back.
“Brandon, should we follow her and take a look? Ms. Parsons left alone. Will something happen?”
“Don’t worry. Someone will watch over her.” Brandon patted Savanna’s shoulder.
This was Darwin’s hospital, and Finn was his benefactor. Would Darwin dare not take good care of
Finn’s girlfriend?
“That’s good.” Savanna was slightly relieved.
“Let’s go, honey. We have done our best. The rest is not under our control.”
Brandon left the hospital with Savanna in his arms.

With a serious face, Darwin wore a white coat and checked on Finn who was lying on the bed.
He had been a doctor for so many years, and he was calm and composed in the face of a major
operation. Now, he held the stethoscope in his hand and was in fear and trepidation.Finn was so painful that he almost fainted. As soon as he was sent to the ward, he put on an oxygen
mask.
Finn lay on the bed and saw Darwin’s grave face as if he was facing an enemy who was hard to deal
with. He stretched out his hand with difficulty and pulled off the oxygen mask. “Dr. Sharp, how is my
situation?”
Darwin put away the stethoscope and asked awkwardly, “Mr. Orwell, do you want to hear the truth?”
Finn was a smart person. Hearing Darwin’s words, he immediately understood. He frowned and said,
“Forget it. Don’t tell me how serious the illness is. Just tell me how long I can live.”
Darwin sighed and said ruthlessly, “At most, no more than three months. If you have any regrets,
hurry up and finish it in the next two months. I’m afraid you will have to spend the last month in
bed.”
After listening to this, Finn felt more hopeless. He was already sick, and now, he had no strength.
“Dr. Sharp, please fake a medical report for me. I want to hide it from Lilia.”
Finn knew that he was on the verge of death. The only one he was most worried about and could not
let go of was Lilia.
If he died, what would happen to Lilia? He could not imagine how that innocent girl would live in this
dirty world without his protection.
“Mr. Orwell, don’t be like this. You have done me a great favor. Even if you want to take my life and let
me die for you, I will not hesitate, let alone forge a medical record.”
Darwin stood beside the bed, firmly expressing his loyalty.Finn smiled weakly. “If only I could exchange my life for my life. Unfortunately, I have a pile of money,
yet I can’t buy a healthy life.”

Finn interrupted Darwin. “Stop talking, she’s here.”
“Who?”
As soon as he finished speaking, Lilia appeared at the door of the ward, panting. Her palm–sized face
was red, and her face was covered with sweat.
She strode in and stood beside the bed. She pointed at Finn and asked.
“Finn, are you hiding something from ine? No matter if you are sick or not, you have to explain it clearly
to me!”
“Lilia,” Finn called out weakly, reaching out to grab Lilia’s hand.
Lilia reacted quickly and avoided him. “Don’t try to get close to me. I’ll give you five minutes to explain it
clearly!”
“I am about to die, but you don’t care about me. I’m so upset to be questioned like this.”
Finn said in a wronged tone.
Darwin thought Finn was going to confess to Lilia and quickly stopped him. “Mr. Orwell…”
“Dr. Sharp, go out first. I want to talk to Lilia alone.” Finn waved his hand and drove Darwin out.
Once the door was closed, there were only two people left in the ward.“Lilia, come sit here. Let me have a close look at you.”
Finn knew that he couldn’t live long, so he wanted to have more contact with Lilia.
He wanted to see her and remember her delicate features, her chubby cheeks, and the small mole at
the corner of her eyes. He would never forget them.
Lilia, who was kept in the dark, stood a little further away in anger. “What’s there to see? If you don’t
explain it to me clearly, I will break up with you. You can’t see me for the rest of your life.”
She said so in a fit of pique, but Finn felt upset after listening to it.
He could still live for three more months only. After three months, he really wouldn’t be able to see Lilia.
“Lilia, don’t say so. I will be very sad.”
Lilia snorted and began to shed tears again. “Then why didn’t you feel sad when you hid it from me?
Finn, you keep saying that you want to marry me, but what did you do behind my back? Have you ever
considered me?”
Finn lay on the bed and clenched his fists. He said helplessly and desperately, “I have done everything
for you.”
