The mother and daughter giggled together.

Both of them were baffled.
Huo Wencheng showed up on time before dinner. He even got down on one knee in front of Father and Mother Gu and proposed to Gu Wushuang solemnly.

He opened it up and revealed the sparkling ring inside of it.

Mother Gu had a strange look on her and Gu Wushuang turned pale. There were unconcealable distress and disappointment coming from her, even.
