Zhang Sheng had no compassion. He decided to nail the coffin shut and sent the recording from Gu Jiangxin’s patient room that he had received from Sier over to Mother Gu.
The one where Gu Wushuang and Huo Wencheng forced Gu Jiangxin to step aside and make room for them during his recovery from his stroke.
Not only was Gu Wushuang unconscientious and unfamilial, she was downright vicious!
And part of the reason that she turned out the way she did was Mother Gu’s over-dotingness.

Mother Gu waited for Huo Wencheng after she had put away her luggage.
She cried for a long time even though she knew that crying would not solve anything.
Before Huo Wencheng’s arrival, she finally calmed down and washed her fact, applied a facial mask, then reapplied her make up. She even used tea bags to prevents her eyes from puffing up.
Mother Gu even changed into an elegant bright red colored dress to make herself appear more imposing.
Huo Wencheng rushed over during lunch hour.
Even though his position had been frozen but he still didn’t want to give Mother Gu an impression that he would come running whenever he was summoned. Huo Wencheng, who had always been a prideful one would not let himself to stoop to that point.

Huo Wencheng was courteous and gave Mother Gu the perfect smile.
“Did you just arrive this morning? How come you didn’t let me know ahead of time? I could have come and picked you up.”
Even though Gu Wushuang and Huo Wencheng had already had their marriage certificate, but neither changed their way they addressed each other’s parents.
The way they addressed each other’s parents would not change until the wedding banquet.
