Mayor Liu led the way.
Walking among his past peers and competitors, Gu Jiangxin couldn’t even hold his head up.
He was deadly afraid of being asked what he was up to recently.
When he felt like he was being tortured and had definitely hit rock bottom, he saw the last person that he wanted to see.
Standing in front of the scenery painting was the familiar President Huang Chuan. He was talking to a beautiful woman and, next to her, stood a tall and handsome man holding a 2-year-old child in his arm.
Even though he didn’t know much about his daughter of 20 years whom he had found overnight, he could still tell from that bright smile on her and the aura from the handsome man next to her.
He never would have thought that it would be under such circumstances when they would meet again!.....
He could still recall clearly details of the night when he got her out of that old and decrepit house, even the white shoes on her were old and beat up. She was a nervous wreck, so much that she could barely talk.
At the time, he felt that this daughter of his was not poise enough, unpresentable, and would never mount up to anything.

Gu Jiangxin, however, saw it clearly. He was old, useless, and down on his luck. Contrasting greatly with him was the other man’s youth, at the top of the world, and his aura.
He turned away as though he was burned.
He couldn’t care less about Mayor Liu anymore. He stumbled toward the direction where the bathroom signs were.
That very moment, he knew that he could no longer appear in front of this daughter.
His running in the opposite direction of the other visitors, however, attracted Gu Shishi’s attention.
“That person looked somewhat familiar?”
Gu Shishi blinked.
Huo Sishen didn’t say anything. Mayor Liu was the one who took a look and chuckled.
“He is just another businessman.”
Hearing the businessman part, Gu Shishi lost interest.
Only two things were important to her right now. One was Huo Xiao Bao, and the other was painting.
