Chapter 10 Get Drunk

Emma shook off her head and belched, then lowered her head to look at her mobile phone again.

Soon after, she dialed a number.

Until the receiver came the hint sound, Emma soliloquized happily, “I am not drunk, the boss doesn't
believe me......”

The phone was picked up before she had finished speaking.

Not waiting for the other side to speak, Emma said to the mobile phone, “Nadia? This is Emma, well,
well… What was I going to say? Oh, right, Joey is drunk, please send someone to pick him up...He's
drunk, he can't get up...”

“Emma?” A cold, deep male voice came through the phone.

Emma was stunned and the voice sounded familiar.

She glanced down at the number displayed on her phone and asked herself, “Isn't this the number of
Joey’s home?”

She grumbled and then she seemed to have known what happened. She then said to the phone,
“Kayden? Well, I had a lot to drink too,... I can't send Joey home. This is Emma, Emma Powell. Well,
my surname is Powell...”

By the end, Emma had forgotten what she had said. She threw the phone aside and held the lamp
pole. Now, she was sleepy...

This was what Sean saw when he arrived at the restaurant.



Emma, wearing a thick khaki blue windbreaker, was asleep against a street lamp pole.

The upturned collar of the windbreaker covered half of her small face. Maybe it was too cold. She was
holding her knees, and her body was curled up in a ball, and the smell of alcohol could be smelled from
a distance.

Sean looked down at her.

After a moment, he bent down and called out, “Emma...”

Sean's voice was low. Emma turned her body and continued to sleep.

Sean gracefully squatted on the ground, and his black coat lay flat on the snow.

He reached out his hand and pulled down Emma's collar, covering her face.

Emma resisted and stopped him with her frozen red hands. She grumbled, “Ivan, stop that now...”

Sean's gesture paused and slowly withdrew his hand.

He stood up, looked down at her again and said, “I'm going to call your grandfather and tell him to send
someone to pick you up...”

Hearing that, Emma half woke up.

She subconsciously embraced Sean's leg and begged dizzily, “Don't, if my grandfather knows I drink
outside, he may break my leg, don't......”

Sean was speechless.

In a villa on Chaoxi Road.

After Sean placed Emma on the bed, he untied his tie, took out the vibrating mobile phone from his
trouser pocket and answered the phone.

A gentle and pleasant female voice came from the phone. She said, “Sean, how long will it take for you
to arrive? My parents and your parents are waiting for you...”

Sean rubbed his forehead, looked back at Emma on the bed, and said, “I'm sorry, Rachel, I have
something to deal with, so I can’t be there.”

Instead of an accusatory query, Rachel asked in a worried tone, “What's wrong? Is it difficult to deal
with?”

Sean did not answer.

“OK, don't worry, I will explain to my parents. Take good care of yourself...”

“Ok.” Sean said in a light tone.

As the fiancée of Sean, Rachel Hill always had good temper. She was gentle, noble and perfect.

Sean, 31, has been repeatedly asked by his friends, “What do you like about Rachel?”

Sean was always silent.

He couldn't tell what he liked about Rachel, but he thought she was suitable to be his wife.

Everything fell into place until they got engaged.

Emma on the bed turned over her body. In sleep, she bowed her body like a large shrimp.



Sean put the quilt over her, turned and walked out.

Sean could not let Emma who was drunk stay there alone, so he pushed off the dinner to meet parents
about the wedding preparations.

He was sitting alone in his study, quietly smoking one cigarette after another.

It was a long time before he took the phone in his hand.

The phone rang for a long time before the other end picked it up.

An old and low male voice was heard, “Sean, it is so late, what is the matter?”

After Sean took a puff of smoke, he said, “Brother, Emma has returned home...”

The male voice in the telephone was elegant. He asked softly, “Which Emma?”

“Emily Brown's daughter...” Sean said truthfully.

When Emma sat up in bed, she was awakened by urine.



Looking out of the window in a daze, she found it was dark.

“Joey......”

Emma shouted to the door, but there was no response.

Thinking she was sleeping in the guest room of the Thomas family, she scratched her dishevelled hair
and got out of bed.

Emma was familiar with the structure of each room of the Thomas family.

Without even looking up, she went straight to the bathroom.

After peeing, Emma felt relaxed.

Sitting on the toilet, she found a large massage bathtub not far away, and then she felt puzzled.

When did the Thomas family have such a luxurious bathtub in the guest room? Why didn’t she know
that?!

But Emma did not have extra energy to think about it.

The liquid crystal TV before bath was on. She could not see clearly it and the voice was down.

A bottle of red wine in French and a goblet lay on a tiling table nearby.

Emma imagined that she lied in the bath with wine, watching movie, which was so enjoyable.

She was confused, but she made a quick move.

By the time she decided to do it, she had stripped off all of her clothes.



It was a bathtub that automatically adjusted the temperature of the water and it was filled quickly with
water at the touch of a button.

Lying in the warm bathtub, Emma felt her world was perfect...

It was a foreign film on the TV with no sound, no subtitles, and Emma could not understand.

But it was a naked couple having sex.

The open-minded foreigners made every move wild.

Seeing that, Emma blushed and her blood got burning, but she fixed her eyes on it.
