Chapter 48 Flirt with Others

In the past few days, Emma had indeed seen Sean and Jessie together. Last time, she saw Sean and
Jessie were in the clubhouse together, which had already proved it.

But thinking about Jessie flirting with others, Emma felt angry.

Joey was still staring at Emma and asked, "Emma, what are you going to do next with this matter?"

She stopped not far away. Sean's voice came from inside, "My eldest brother wants to visit you. I don't

Emma poked her head out quietly and saw Sean's perfect side face.

Sean was dressed in an iron gray suit with his wrists on his knees, revealing a little white shirt cuff. The
watch on his wrist was a limited-edition classic style from Patek Philippe. Emma had seen it in a
magazine.

He was calm and graceful. His eyes were focused and serious when he looked at Officer Brown.



Officer Brown pondered for a moment, and finally looked at Sean, "Not in hurry..."

The rejection did not make Sean embarrassed. Sean was still calm and then he nodded, "Okay, I will
tell him..."

Emma retracted her head from the door, leaned against the wall, and stared at the ceiling in a daze.

The content of the conversation in the room had changed. Emma couldn't understand the business
affairs. She turned around and walked into the living room.

In the living room, Emma was fidgeting on the sofa.

She imagined over and over again how she should greet Sean when he came out.

Should she enthusiastically call him Uncle, or pretend to ignore him? Emma was a little tangled.

After a while, she got up from the sofa again, strode up to the second floor, closed the door with a
"bang" sound and shut herself in the room.

Lying on the big bed, Emma thought angrily again. What did it have to do with her whether he came or
not? Why did she have to wait there as if she was receiving a leader, and still had to prepare for the
welcoming speech? !

But this thought didn't last long and disappeared again.

Her grandpa's voice sounded downstairs.

Emma got up from the bed, opened the door, pricked her ears to listen to the movement downstairs.

Sure enough, Sean said goodbye from downstairs.



Sean said, "My grandpa has always been in good health. Thank you for your concern. When I go back,
I will convey your greetings to him. Wish you be healthy too."

Officer Brown told Maggie to go out to see off Sean. Maggie said yes. The sound of opening the door
sounded on the first floor.

After a while, a heavy closing sound rang again. The living room instantly became quiet.

Emma opened the door of the room and ran out with slippers.

On the stairs, her footsteps suddenly stopped. She looked downstairs with shock.

The moment when their eyes met, Emma was stunned.

Sean hadn't left yet...

Officer Brown saw Emma. He raised his head and asked, "Didn't you go to Joey’s home? When did you
come back?"

Emma glanced at her grandfather, without answering. Her gaze returned to Sean's face.

Seeing Sean staring at Emma, Officer Brown waved his hand to let Emma go downstairs, "Well, come
over and say hello to your uncle."

What her grandpa said made Emma feel Sean was like her elder. Emma only stared at Sean, feeling
uncomfortable.

Seeing Emma standing on the stairs without moving, Officer Brown turned to look at Sean, "Sorry.
She’s like that and spoiled by me when she was young..."



Sean retracted his gaze with an embarrassment. There was no change in the expression on his face.
He calmly said, "It's okay, then I'm leaving first..."

While they were talking, Maggie walked over with some wrapped gifts in her hand and handed them to
Sean’s hands. She smiled and said, "I almost forgot about it. These are what Officer Brown has told me
to prepare for your grandpa. I prepared them early in the morning."

Sean took the gifts from Maggie, thanked Officer Brown, then turned and walked towards the door.

Maggie ran to open the door for him.

Sean turned his head and nodded to Officer Brown to signal that he was leaving, and took a look the
upstairs.

Emma still stood there blankly. Her eyes stuck to him.

When they were looking at each other, the looks in Sean's eyes were a bit complicated. But he quickly
withdrew his gaze, turned and left the house.

Officer Brown had been watching Sean go out of the house. When he looked at upstairs, Emma was
no longer on the stairs...

Before Officer Brown sat on the sofa, he saw Emma rushing down from the second floor like another
gust of wind.

She put on a dark brown overcoat. When she was walking, she lifted her neck and pulled the zipper up.
