“So that’s the reason why you came here.” Mo Yichen said directly.
Li Yunhong felt embarrassed but pretended to be fine, “Yes. I cannot ignore it since such serious affair happened. You should think about what I said and don’t let me down!”
Mo Yichen went back to the desk and didn’t respond.
“Did you hear me? To stay away from Gu Yan who is crafty. I won’t let you marry her.”
Li Yunhong took off the gloves, which overwhelmed Mo Yichen.
“Mom, who told you about Gu Yan?”
Mo Yichen’s aggressiveness made Li Yunhong depressed.
“I…” Li Yunhong couldn’t reply and became silent, “I can’t tell him the truth since he has prejudice to Chen Qian.”
“It is really a big trouble that everyone knows and maybe I am the last one who know about it. Are you intending to hide it from me?”
Li Yunhong turned aside to avoid the eye contact to Mo Yichen. She felt embarrassed, so she touched the tassels of the sofa.
Mo Yichen knew his mom well and was sure that she was telling a lie.
“Chen Qian is the only one who is able to let my mom come to me.”
“Is Chen Qian?” Mo Yichen asked.
He stared at Li Yunhong’s eyes and tried to find out clues.
“No. I heard it from my friends. Do you fall in love with Gu Yan?”
Li Yunhong managed to change the topic.
However, she didn’t get the answer from Mo Yichen.
“Yichen, don’t be silly. Gu Yan is a divorced woman who has a baby with another man. I forbid you to be with such a chippie!”
Li Yunhong grabbed the documents from Mo Yichen’s hands and stared at him.
Wu Gang saw the quarrel in the office, “As I expected, Li Yunhong won’t give up unless President Mo can give her a satisfactory answer.”
“God. What can we do now?” Wu Gang was worried.
“Mom, I can handle the relationship between Gu Yan and me since it’s a private matter. And I will continue the contract to Chen’s family. This is my largest concession.”
Mo Yichen finally looked at Li Yunhong and replied firmly.
“You…”
Wu Gang got Mo Yichen’s implication and came in to interrupt Li Yunhong.
“Drive my mom back.” Mo Yichen ordered.
“Wait, I haven’t finished yet.” Li Yunhong warned Wu Gang. But Wu Gang smiled innocently, took the documents away gently from Li Yunhong and asked her to leave.
Li Yunhong stopped since they got much attention from the staff. She shook off Wu Gang’s hands, smoothed her clothes and walked out first.
Mo Yichen took a sigh of relief until Li Yunhong left.
“Fortunately, my mom paid much attention to Chen’s family. Otherwise, she would never let Gu Yan go.”
Wu Gang went back to the office when Mo Yichen was in a daze.
“Boss, are you ok? What should we do now?”
“Continue the contract temporarily. This time is just a warning. You pay much attention to Chen Qian. I wouldn’t be lenient if Chen Qian made trouble again.”
Mo Yichen was a little bit tired and leaned against the chair entirely with closed eyes.
“Okay, I will do it.”
Wu Gang nodded and left. The office was quiet finally.
The images of Gu Yan showed in Mo Yichen’s mind ceaselessly.
“Gu Yan didn’t contact with me since the last time we talked about living together. How is she?”
Then Mo Yichen opened the WeChat dialog box of Gu Yan.
“What will you do after work?”
Mo Yichen texted and deleted for several times and closed the dialog box finally.
Unexpectedly, Gu Yan called him at that time.
Mo Yichen picked up the phone quickly.
“Hello?”
“Hi!” It was the familiar voice of Gu Yan.
“Well… Please do not introduce clients for me and thanks you.”
Gu Yan’s voice was so chilly. It seemed that she was calling to the staff of the real estate sales center.
Mo Yichen was a little bit unpleasant. “How dare she talk to me like that?”
“I didn’t do it.” He replied.
“What?” Gu Yan was surprised.
Mo Yichen took a tumble, “No wonder Li Yunhong was so angry since many people knew my affection towards Gu Yan. The people who want to please me pay their attention to Gu Yan.”
“I have nothing to do with your business and won’t intervene in it.” He explained.
“Alright. I’m sorry.” Gu Yan felt embarrassed.
“Maybe it is just an excuse for me who want to contact with him.” Gu Yan thought. She felt warm when she saw a customer list collated by Yuan Xi because almost all customers were related to Mo Group.
“I know that Chen Qian came to you…” Mo Yichen said.
But Gu Yan replied him after a long silence.
“It’s ok. I know that you have nothing to do with her and I can handle it.”
Gu Yan was playing the pen cap and was flustered about Mo Yichen’s words.
Mo Yichen paused and said, “I’m sorry about that.”
Gu Yan couldn’t believe that Mo Yichen could talk so gently, so she checked the phone number again.
“Well. Don’t mind. I almost forget it. I can take care of myself.”
Gu Yan felt a little bit guilty when saying that since her words seemed to be a response to Mo Yichen’s advice of living together which they talked last time.
