“How can I forget that? Wouldn’t it be a little…because it’s still early now. I have to go back home and dress up.” Gu Yan said and scratched her head embarrassedly. She thought she was the happiest person in the world at this moment when she heard Mo Yichen’s voice. A happy family was going to approaching her, and she confirmed that she would be happy from now on.
Mo Yichen said, “Yeah, you really scared me. I thought you forgot that. It’s okay. Where are you? Xiangyan is around me, and we’re going to pick you up.” Gu Yan could feel that he was worried before and then became excited.
But now Gu Yan was a little hesitated because she was not good at dealing with interpersonal conflict. She was really worried about pleasing someone who didn’t like her. And she was afraid that she would let Xiangyan and Mo Yichen down.
“Yichen, I’m afraid and nervous. In fact, I don’t know how to deal with the situation if I say something inappropriate when I see your mom. I’m really afraid of embarrassment.” Gu Yan spoke her mind and was eager for Mo Yichen’s comfort.
And Mo Yichen did.
“My little idiot, don’t be afraid. Xiangyan and I will around you all the time, and we will help you. Relax. We won’t let that happen. In addition, sooner or later, an ugly woman will take that step. You have to face it, otherwise the problem will never be solved.” He said softly.
“What? Ugly woman? Who? You’re ugly! You’re the ugliest! No one is uglier than you!” As soon as Mo Yichen said that, Gu Yan couldn’t help but get angry.
Manla laughed loudly aside when she heard the conversation. She had ever met such an interesting couple. The passers-by looked at these two weird women when they heard the exaggerated laughter.
“Okay, all right. I’m the ugliest. My sweetie, Yan, is the most beautiful woman in the world. Am I right, Xiangyan? Do you think Aunt Gu is the most beautiful woman?”
“Yeah, yeah. Daddy is right. Aunt Gu is exactly the most beautiful woman in the world, like a little fairy.” Mo Xiangyan moved close to the phone and spoke loudly and happily. He rubbed against the clothes on his father’s chest with his head. He looked very cute, acting like a spoiled child.
Gu Yan couldn’t help smiling happily when she heard Xiangyan’s voice from the phone. She was delighted that her son, the most intimate person of her, always considered her. He was really thoughtful, like a little cotton-padded jacket which could warm her at every moment.
“Did you hear that? Xiangyan said you were beautiful, so you are really beautiful. I’m not lying to you. Yep, you are the most adorable woman in the world.” Mo Yichen looked into the distance. He missed Gu Yan and couldn’t wait to meet her and hug her heavily.
“Which idiot said I was an ugly woman just now? He is exactly an idiot. Idiot! Really stupid!” Gu Yan blushed. Her body shook involuntarily, and her voice sounded like a little childish. No one could refuse her.
Manla could not understand that.
“You are really out of line. Don’t you see there is a person standing next to you? Your public display of affection is too much!” Manla yelled at Gu Yan and pouted, pretending to be a little angry.
“Who was yelling at you?” Mo Yichen’s sound was a little serious.
“It’s Manla. I go shopping with her. She looks like a little angry. But she is always like this. Just ignore her.” Gu Yan explained to Mo Yichen.
“Where are you? I am going to pick you up! It’s getting late. What do you think if I go with you to get changed? And then we go home for dinner.”
Mo Yichen’s voice became soft again, as if he was talking to her daughter. He spoilt her.
“I am in the mall where we bought clothes for Xiangyan last time. You don’t need to come here. I’ll take a taxi. You go home first, and I will be there soon.”
Gu Yan glanced at Manla who was looking at her.
“It’s okay. We are very close to you. We’ll be there in five minutes. So, it’s okay to pick you up. What’s more, my mom is picky. She hates people who gets late. But if you come home with us, she won’t blame you.” Mo Yichen told patiently to Gu Yan and wanted her to take his suggestion.
“All right. Pick me up… I’ll wait for you at the gate.” Gu Yan paused for a moment and then said. She thought what Mo Yichen said was right. Li Yunhong was a very harsh woman. If she was got caught on the wrong side by Li Yunhong, she would lose all her moods to please Li Yunhong.
“Okay, wait for me.” Mo Yichen hung up and fastened the seat belt for Xiangyan. Then he started the car and was going to pick up Gu Yan.
“Daddy, are we going to pick up Aunt Gu?” Xiangyan stared at Mo Yichen with his wide eyes. He looked very adorable.
“Yeah, we are going to pick her up and then go to your grandma’s house for dinner. You should be on the ball because your grandma does not like Aunt Gu. You can change your grandma’s mind so that Aunt Gu may be your mother and can be around you all the time in the future.”
Mo Yichen twisted his head to see Xiangyan sometime when he was driving. He did his most to make his son understand that this matter was very important because it related to their future happy lives. They had to be careful. If they could work out on it. Their happy life was not far off. But if they failed, they were on the verge of another brush with happiness.
“Got it, daddy. I shall take full charge of the matter and please my grandma. I won’t let you down. Rest assured. I can do it.” Xiangyan patted his chest and said confidently because he knew that his grandma loved him most and would satisfy all his wishes.
Mo Yichen fondly touched Xiangyan’s head and stared at cars at distance while thinking. The relationship between Li Yunhong and Gu Yan bothered him for a long time. They were all the people he loved most. It was so difficult for him to sandwiched in the middle of them.
