“Everyone comes here to check the payroll for this month. Sister Gu Yan said that the salary will be paid one week in advance.” Yuan Xi did a good job since everyone loved money.
She successfully gathered everyone in the studio. Then Gu Yan was about to slip away.
“Well, I know, go ahead.” Gu Yan pretended to say something and ran away.
Gu Yan called Mo Yichen when she was outside.
She called him many times but he didn’t answer the phone.
Gu Yan thought that Mo Yichen was in a meeting, so she didn’t call him again.
Now, Mo Yichen was preparing the gift for Gu Yan at the mall. It was the first time that Mo Yichen had prepared gifts for a girl by himself. Wu Gang was happy for Mo Yichen who finally had a girlfriend.
“Come here and give me some suggestions.” Mo Yichen called Wu Gang.
“Boss, who do you want to send the gift to?” Wu Gang asked to banter Mo Yichen.
“I buy it for Gu Yan. It is a gift to thank her for designing. Is there anything wrong?” Mo Yichen was embarrassed.
“No. I have never seen that you pick a gift by yourself to others except for Ms. Li.” Wu Gang snickered.
“Today you have seen it. Hurry up!” Mo Yichen walked to Wu Gang.
“Alright. I know nothing about girls and cannot give you any suggestions.” Wu Gang was about to slip away.
“Really? Fine. The bracelet on your desk may not belong to you. I will tell Auntie Xue to throw it out.” Mo Yichen said as if nothing had happened.
“No. It is mine. I want to send it to one of my girlfriends.” Wu Gang rushed to Mo Yichen.
“I never heard that you…”
“Come on. I will help you.” Wu Gang had to compromise with Mo Yichen.
“OK.” Mo Yichen looked at Wu Gang and smiled, making Wu Gang tremble.
“What about this one? It is beautiful and noble.” Wu Gang picked up a necklace.
“Sir, you have such a good taste. It is our new product and has implied meaning which is about a love story.” The clerk told them the story about the necklace.
“Does it represent lovers?” Wu Gang raised his voice deliberately and wanted to make Mo Yichen embarrassed. He thought that Mo Yichen could do nothing to him.
“Boss, I think it is very suitable. How do you think?” Wu Gang made an eye contact with the clerk.
“I would better change another one.” Mo Yichen also liked it. But he was hesitating after knowing the story of this necklace. Wu Gang saw it and wanted to sound his boss out since the necklace was meaningful and expensive. But Mo Yichen didn’t care about the price. He just didn’t want to make any misunderstanding.
“We will buy it since my boss likes it.” Wu Gang took out a gold card generously.
“You are so generous. Use your own card.” Then Mo Yichen was about to leave.
“Come on. Miss Gu is not my girlfriend. I’m not generous. I even don’t have my own house.” Wu Gang complained and wanted to show others that his boss was mean.
Then the clerk looked at Mo Yichen who was embarrassed.
“Good job! Wu Gang.” Mo Yichen took the necklace and left directly.
Then they came back to the car. Wu Gang was no longer arrogant.
“Where are we going?” Wu Gang asked Mo Yichen about the destination. Mo Yichen was about to ask Gu Yan where she was but his phone was out of power.
“Give me your phone.” Mo Yichen robbed Wu Gang’s phone.
“My mother is calling you. Why does she call you?” Mo Yichen was about to tell Gu Yan that they were on the way.
“She must look for you.” Wu Gang was very arrogant since he used to be scolded by Li Yunhong because of Mo Yichen, as if he was a member of Mo Yichen’s family.
“Fine! I knew that you suffered a lot but you should answer the phone first.” Mo Yichen gave the phone to Wu Gang.
“I would like to know how can she force me to go back home. Turn on the speaker.” Mo Yichen ordered.
“Hello, auntie.”
“Let Yichen come back now. No, go to the hospital directly.” Li Yunhong said on the phone.
“Auntie, he has something important to do tonight. You should tell him in advance.” Wu Gang said and looked at Mo Yichen.
“It is about his son.” Li Yunhong raised her voice.
“Mom, what’s wrong with Xiangyan?” Mo Yichen was nervous when he heard about Xiangyan.
“Go to the hospital!” He hung up directly and ordered Wu Gang to drive to Xingchen Hospital immediately.
Gu Yan let Yuan Xi greet everyone and she was waiting for Mo Yichen at the entrance of the restaurant.
Mo Yichen had to take care of Xiangyan. So, he called Gu Yan on his way to the hospital.
“Hello?” Gu Yan got an unfamiliar call.
“Gu Yan, I have an emergency meeting and can’t meet you, sorry.” Mo Yichen said first.
“Well, you can come here later. The party hasn’t begun yet.” Gu Yan made an excuse for Mo Yichen to come here.
“No, I can’t go. Sorry, I will treat you the next time.” It was hard for Mo Yichen to make such a choice. He felt very sorry about Gu Yan.
“Fine, get your things done first.” Gu Yan said.

“OK, I know.” Gu Yan answered. She was very upset but forced a smile before getting into the restaurant.
“You have to drink more since you made everyone wait for you.” Manla took Gu Yan to her seat and introduced some new friends to her.
“OK.” Gu Yan drunk four glasses of wine, which surprised Manla a lot.
