The young man sized Jared and the others up before continuing placidly, “Since you guys are not

between the two men, was rather displeased with the young man’s arrogance. Besides, he felt

young man.

When the guards heard the order, all of them retreated.
“We will pay our respects straight away. We will do it right now.”
Flaxseed nodded politely at the young man before dragging Colin and Jared toward the statue to pay
their respects.
“Let’s not create any trouble. Remember, we are here to find out the secret of this place,” Flaxseed
whispered to Jared.
Colin was still rather displeased, but Jared spoke. “Colin, let’s listen to Mr. Flaxseed.”
Since Jared had said so, Colin dared not say anything else.
The three men entered the temple and knelt down before the statue.
The moment their knees touched the ground, a faint white light emitted from their bodies and was
immediately absorbed by the statue.
Even though Colin and Flaxseed did not notice anything amiss, Jared knitted his brows and fixed his
gaze on the statue.

After he finished speaking, Jared stood up. Then, he walked toward the statue and placed his hand
lightly on it.
