island.
“D”mn it! I thought the island would be very close, but it turned out to be so far!” Jared could not help
cursing upon
spotting the island.
Although they were not hungry despite not eating or drinking in the three days they spent on the turtle’s
back, it was
downright frustrating.
The divine turtle swam toward the island. Meanwhile, Jared stretched vigorously and stared at the
island that appeared
from afar.
However, the divine turtle suddenly stopped advancing and swam in place relentlessly. Seeing that,
Jared inexorably
frowned.
“What’s wrong, Mr. Chance?” Cloud asked in puzzlement.
“It looks like another demon beast is about to appear,” Jared answered, No sooner had his words rang
out than waves of
pitch-black seawater billowed. A faint blue light resembling a demon beast’s eyes glowed in the water.Swoosh!
Out of the blue, something shot up into the sky. from the Night Sea, bringing along heaps of seawater
that rained down.
If it weren’t for the fact that Jared and the others had been prepared and formed a spiritual energy
shield around
themselves, the seawater would have turned them into drowned rats.
As the seawater surged, a streak of light abruptly flashed overhead. On the heels of that, a dazzling
burst of light lit up the
dark surroundings, making it appear like day..

beast is this? It looks terrifying!”
The instant Quinley laid eyes on the demon beast, she was so petrified that she trembled all over. She
had never seen
any demon beast with such a horrifying form in the far north..
Even Jared and Cloud had no idea what kind of demon beast it was. After all, many had never seen the
demon beasts of
the sea. As Jared studied the demon beast before him, apprehension swamped him.
If it were on land, he would not be afraid. On the Night Sea, however, there was no solid ground for him
to stand on.Besides, even the greatest cultivator found it. difficult to remain in the air above the Night Sea for a long
time.

beast. swooped toward the trio..
At that, Jared had Cloud protect Quinley while he whipped out Dragonslayer Sword to fight it. While the
demon beast was
diving at them, the divine turtle suddenly spurted out a jet of seawater from its mouth.
Like a sharp sword, the seawater headed straight for the demon beast. Seeing that, the demon beast
hastily dodged.
Subsequently, it flapped its wings and let out a series of screeches in mid-air, seemingly mocking the
divine turtle.
In turn, the divine turtle let out a roar. Immediately after, three waves of water approached from afar. In
no time, they
reached Jared. Unexpectedly, underneath them were three relatively small divine turtles.
Jared promptly grasped his divine turtle’s meaning and said to Quinley and Cloud, “Let’s jump on the
backs of the other
divine turtles!”
After he had said that, the three of them. jumped onto the backs of the other divine. turtles. Without
Jared and the otherson its back, the gigantic divine turtle threw its head back before soaring into the sky from the Night Sea.
Then, a jet of water sped out of its mouth, headed right for the flying demon beast. Fear instantly
showed in the eyes of
the demont beast. Flapping its fleshy wings, it desperately flew higher into the sky..
But like a sharp sword, the jet of water pierced. its wings. In pain, it let out an agonized cry. Its body
then plummeted into
the sea.
Splash!
A loud splash rang out, and waves roiled on the surface of the sea. The divine turtle also made a
nosedive from mid-air
and plunged into the water. Jared saw large bubbles materializing on the surface of the Night Sea as
though the water
was boiling.
After a few minutes, however, the surface of the sea reverted to its usual calmness. Then, the divine
turtle popped out
from the water with a beast core in its bloodied mouth.
