Chapter 7: Impossible To Divorce

"As long as you can continue to tolerate the old days, or want to be like your children, I don't mind.
After all, what I want is Alfred."

When Carrie mentioned her baby again, Lauren was almost unable to control her emotions. When she
thought that her unborn baby couldn't come to this world just because of a word from this woman,
Lauren's heart hurt as if being stabbed.

Originally, she thought that Alfred was the one who did this. And she was frustrated with Alfred. She
didn't expect the real murderer to be right in front of her eyes now and she was still trying to let them be
with each other.

It was just a big joke. She actually wanted to fulfill two people who murdered her baby.

Lauren thought to herself, "Since I have lost the most important thing in my life, don't you guys want to
end well. It is impossible for me to divorce obediently so that you can be together." Lauren knew that
she couldn't do it.

Lauren looked at Carrie, "You want me to agree to the divorce? Impossible. Just forget it. As long as I
am here, I will not agree to divorce. Since you only want Alfred, then you just stay with him as a
mistress."

When Lauren asked for the divorce, Carrie was ecstatic. Unexpectedly, Lauren now changed her mind
and kept labeling her as a mistress, which was something that she hated.

Carrie was furious.



"Slap!" Carrie slapped Lauren in the face.

Lauren was stunned by a sudden slap, but Carrie raised her hand and was about to slap again.

Lauren grasped Carrie's wrist while her other hand was about to slap Carrie's face.

"Stop."

Before Lauren could see who was coming, she was pushed to the ground by someone.

Lauren had just finished the operation, so she was still very weak. She couldn't stand such a powerful
strike. The whole person fell to the ground, looking so awkward.

Carrie was held by Alfred in his arms, making an aggrieved look. Without any hostility she had just now,
she was held by Alfred, acting softly and weakly.

Had Lauren not seen what she did just now, she would even stand up for Carrie. It was such a pity that
Carrie didn't become an actress.

"Lauren, are you out of your fucking mind?" Alfred looked at Lauren who fell on the ground
condescendingly.

Carrie pulled Alfred's hand and showed a provocative expression to Lauren while her tone sounded
very pitiful.

"Alfred, don't blame Lauren. She just lost her baby and could barely control herself."



Alfred held Carrie's hand and felt sorry for her, "Don't show your kindness to everyone, you will suffer
for that."

Carrie shook her head, "It's okay, I'm fine. You will protect me."

Seeing the two of them showing affection, Lauren really felt sick. Alfred always liked Carrie's
gentleness and understanding. If he knew the truth of the woman he loved... As Lauren thought about
this, she thought they were perfect to each other.

It looked so fucking disgusting that she was about to throw up.

Alfred pulled Lauren up from the ground. No matter how awkward she looked, he took her straight out
of the hospital to the Civil Affairs Bureau.

The clerk handling the divorce affairs might be frightened by the hostility of Alfred, so he staggered,
"What can I do for you?"

Alfred glanced at him coldly, "Divorce."

"I don't want to." The clerk glanced at the woman who was talking. She was wearing a hospital gown.
With her messy hair, she could only be described as a slovenly woman.

"No wonder the man wanted to get a divorce," The clerk thought.



"Which one of you should I listen to? Do you divorce or not?" The clerk asked cautiously.

"Yes," Alfred said coldly.

"I said, I don't want to divorce. Don't forget, Alfred. As long as I don't agree to the divorce, you can't do
it."

Lauren was sitting in the chair. Although her image was slovenly, she was determined not to divorce.

These two people deprived her of the responsibility of being a mother. And now they wanted to get
married and stay together above board. She would never be such a fool.

...

Even if Alfred didn't love her, she wouldn't let the people who murdered her baby get away from this.

Alfred grasped Lauren's neck, "I don't have time to play with you!"

"Don't waste your time with me. I've made up my mind. I won't divorce." Lauren looked at Alfred
stubbornly.

Alfred let go of her. He was so furious that he actually chuckled.

"Divorce paper."

The clerk was amazed. Even if they broke up, this man didn't have to kill his wife.



It took him two seconds to realize that Alfred wanted a divorce agreement.

He passed the divorce agreement to Alfred. Alfred immediately signed it, then he threw the agreement
in the face of Lauren.

"Sign it."

Lauren looked at Alfred's angry face, bent down, and picked up the paper. She then raised her hand
and tore the divorce agreement apart.

"I said, I won't get a divorce."

Alfred was upset and slapped Lauren in the face.
