Old Master Jing nodded and reluctantly agreed to go back to his room, leaving the rest to Butler Li.
He Miao sent him back to his room and personally helped him lie down on the bed to rest. Then, she poured him a cup of hot tea and left it on the bedside table. After that, she and Butler Li went to see Jing Yan.
In the room, Jing Yan was still in the same position as in the morning, lying flat on the big bed. His face was ruddy, and he did not look sick at all.
Butler Li ran a few steps faster in embarrassment. He quickly covered Jing Yan with the blanket and smiled apologetically. “Young Master Jing, you’re already an adult, but you still kicked off the blanket when you were sleeping.”
He Miao smiled slightly, but did not say anything. She put her index finger between her lips and whispered “shush”, indicating that he should keep his voice down and not disturb Jing Yan.
Although she knew very well that Jing Yan could not have heard their movements, she still put on a good show. After watching, her guess was confirmed.

He Miao’s cold gaze landed on his face. His thin lips moved slightly, and the mocking smile on her face disappeared in a flash. “Sure, I’ll go back and wait for Jing Yan.”
Butler Li heaved a sigh of relief. He ordered a few more sets of clothes and daily necessities and sent He Miao back to the hospital personally. After helping her arrange everything, he wiped away the cold sweat from his guilty conscience and went back to the Jing family house with a peace of mind.
After he left, He Miao sat on the bed in deep thought for a long time. She tried to recall when Onion started acting strange. She recalled many intimate scenes with Onion at night, and her face could not help but burn.
He Miao felt more and more restless. She simply asked the nurse to change the medicine and sneaked out of the hospital again. He found the vet clinic where Onion was being treated.
On the small hospital bed, Onion curled up unconsciously because of the pain. The fur that had just grown out of his body was shaved off by the doctor again. His body was wrapped in bandages and some places were even bleeding.
Chen Zhao saw He Miao standing in the ward as soon as she arrived. He walked quickly to her side in shock and asked anxiously, “What are you doing here? Where’s President Jing?”
He looked around for Jing Yan, but he did not see him.
A ridiculous thought suddenly emerged in Chen Zhao’s mind. He stared at He Miao’s beautiful side profile in disbelief. “You… You didn’t sneak out of the hospital alone, did you? Miss He! President Jing will kill me if he finds out!”
He Miao turned to look at him and said in a flat tone, “I’m afraid he already knows.”
She was not sure if Jing Yan, who had turned into Onion, could hear her. After she finished speaking, she stared at Onion’s head, trying to find an indication in his unconscious face.
Unfortunately, Onion was still unconscious and could not give her any response.
Chen Zhao did not know that she was just testing him. He thought that his boss already knew about this. He moved closer to He Miao in fear and said, “Then, doesn’t that mean that President Jing is on his way here? No, Miss He, I think I’d better send you back to the hospital first. Otherwise, when President Jing comes later, I’m afraid I’ll really lose my salary!”
“I’m not going back.” He Miao shook her head gently and stayed by Onion’s side.
She wanted to see for herself if Onion would wake up temporarily at night because his soul had changed.
Chen Zhao was scared out of his wits. He looked at the time on his phone and continued to persuade her anxiously, “Miss He, please give me a chance to make up for my mistake. Let me send you back to the hospital to recuperate!”
He Miao looked up at him with his watery eyes and comforted him softly, “You don’t have to worry. If Jing Yan blames you for this, I’ll help you persuade him. Go and buy some beef jerky. Onion needs to eat something to replenish his body after he wakes up.”
Hearing He Miao’s words, Chen Zhao was slightly relieved. He heaved a long sigh of relief and immediately nodded. “Okay. What would you like to eat, Miss He? I’ll just buy them all!”
“Anything is fine. I’m not hungry.” He Miao could not eat anything right now. She could not wait for the sky to turn dark. She could not wait to see that Onion and Jing Yan were safe.
