After dinner, Jing Yan made an excuse that he was going back to the Jing family house to visit his grandfather and wanted to leave the ward.
He Miao’s brows raised slightly. She grabbed his arm and refused to let go. “It’s very late now. Let’s go back tomorrow.”
Jing Yan reluctantly walked over and patted her head. He smiled and said, “I’ll come back to keep you company later, okay?”
“Not good.” He Miao pouted and acted coquettishly. This was the first time she had spoken to Jing Yan like a child.
Tonight, she wanted to see what Jing Yan was like while his soul was in Onion’s body.
Jing Yan sighed. He could not stand her pitiful look and sat back on the bed helplessly. He found a movie with a good rating and coaxed her, “Then, I’ll watch a movie with you, and then you will sleep, okay?”
His tone was gentle and patient, as if he was coaxing a child.
Jing Yan planned to watch a movie with He Miao in the dimly-lit ward, then find an excuse to fall asleep. He would wake up in an hour, so He Miao should not notice anything unusual.
With that thought in mind, he took off the coat he had just put on and squeezed into He Miao’s warm bed. He pulled her into his arms and kissed her on the cheek with a smile. Then, he hugged her and watched a movie with her.
At eight o’ clock, Jing Yan lost consciousness on time. He laid on the pillow as if he had fallen asleep.
He Miao paused the movie, leaned over, and slowly inched closer to his sleeping face. He carefully sized up his delicate and beautiful eyes.
Jing Yan’s looks would be very pleasing to the eye even in the entertainment industry. He Miao liked to see him relax his brows and smile gently. His bright eyes seemed to be able to contain the entire galaxy.
Now that this person was lying beside her without any warning, He Miao could not help but reach out and pinch his tall nose.
