In the evening, when the funeral was over, Anika and Zac did not return to the villa.

They took a bus back to the Meyer Clan's old mansion.

In the quiet living room, apart from Oliver and Lucy, there was also Scott and another neat middle-aged
man in a suit.

Anika realized that the man in a suit must be Lucas Dalton, Robert's estate lawyer.

After the death of the old man, Lucas called Anika to inform her that he would announce her
grandfather's last will at the old mansion after the funeral.

Oliver was unable to attend the funeral, so he arrived at the old mansion early in the morning.

However, Lucas insisted to wait everyone before reading the will, so he had no choice but to wait until
now.

When Oliver saw Anika, his tone became slightly impatient.

"Atty.Dalton, can you declare his will now?"

Lucas, on the other hand, was very professional and didn't mind Oliver.

He silently nodded and stood up as soon as Anika and Zac took their seats.

"Hello, everyone.I am Lucas Dalton, Mr.Meyer's lawyer.I have been entrusted by him to announce
Mr.Meyer's will."

Anika nodded calmly, "Hello, Mr.Dalton"



Lucas politely looked back and stated directly, "Mr.Meyer amended his will half a month ago.In his last
will, he appointed three heirs to the estate’

"The portion of the 14 properties and fund deposits under Mr.Meyer's name will be divided equally
among the three designated successors in accordance with the current market value.Anika and the
others listened silently.

Their expressions remained the same.

When Lucas mentioned the three heirs, Oliver's face became even more solemn.

The old man had indeed loved Anika in recent years, but he had always treated Lucy, her
granddaughter, well.

Scott was the old man's adopted son, who had gone through the adoption process.

He was also a nominal son.

There were only three inheritors, so Anika already knew what Oliver was worried about.

Anika had never thought that the other successor was neither Scott nor Oliver, but Zac, who had been
married to her for less than two months.



She wasn't sure if Grandpa's decision was because of her, or he just simply liked Zac, his grandson-in-
law.

Anika smiled and shook her head, "Grandpa likes you very much."

She whispered in Zac's ears.

"Well, it only proves that Grandpa's taste is not bad."

Zac smiled and raised his eyebrows at her.

His tone was calm, but it directly prompted Oliver, who was sitting on the other side, to become
enraged.

"How is this possible?"

Oliver's emotions were a little out of control.

He obviously didn't want to accept that his years of hard work had been wasted.

He had been robbed of most of his inheritance by Anika and Zac, who came out just recently.

"Oliver, why are you surprised?" Scott glanced at Oliver.

"Well, you can blame me for this.Dad discussed the matter of inheritance with me earlier and I thought
that we are all adults now, so it's not good for us to snatch something from the children.That's why I told
him that there was no need to think about the two of us.

We're adults already and we can both rely on our own, right? This was the first time that Anika had
seen Scott utter such harsh words.



In terms of age, Scott was not even forty, which clearly had a huge difference from Oliver who was
already over fifty years old.

Anika wasn't surprised at Scott's decision to give up his inheritance.

After all, Scott moved out of the Meyer's Clan when he reached adulthood.

After Elliot passed away, he did not interfere in the affairs of the Meyer Clan.

He frowned and retorted, "But Lucy is still the granddaughter of the old man.How could he give the
30% stake to this girl?"

brother, Elliot.It should be given to Nika."

This was the same with how Emma had left her 10% stake to Lucy, her daughter.

Elliot was the one who worked hard before.

his two sons and daughters.

However, when Elliot and his wife died, Anika hadn't been taken back to the Meyer Clan, and only
Robert was the legal successor.

Robert had 40% stake.

25% was owned by Elliot and the remaining 15% were equally given to Anika, Lucy, and Zac.



So he wasn't biased at all.

Oliver still couldn't accept the result of Robert's will.

He pointed at Zac and knitted his brows.

"But he's just an outsider.How could the old man-"

"Oliver, Zac is my husband and not an outsider of the Meyer family.’’ Anika interrupted him and
sneered, "If he's an outsider, then what's the point of having an illegitimate child?"

"Since you have the time to make trouble here, why don't you find a way out for the Cooper family? Do
you think being the general manager means you can continue to work peacefully?"

Oliver snorted upon hearing it, "Anika, don't forget that I still have 10% of the shares in my hands.Even
if you want to pull me down, you have to get the other shareholders to agree."

Even if he wasn't able to obtain the shares, he wasn't completely helpless.

Oliver had been entangled with the rest of the shareholders of the Meyer family for many years, and
these people would not be easily captured by Anika.

If he gave up enough benefits and agreed with the other shareholders privately, he would still have

‘‘Anika wouldn't find out’’ He thought.

He had no fear about it.

Anika lowered her eyes and took out a document from her bag.

She handed it to Oliver and said, "Do you think this is enough?"

"You violated the restrictions in the overseas medical cooperation agreement with T&D by transferring
the funds from the joint venture to an overseas account.As the largest shareholder of T&D, I will
formally file a lawsuit against you."

Once the charges were confirmed, Oliver will be in prison for at least five years.

Even if he had to ask for the cooperation of the other shareholders, he would still be removed from the
general manager's position.



Oliver raised his head in shock as realization hit him.

"Did you intentionally lure me into the pit in the previous medical cooperation case?"

Although Anika was involved in the company's business in the early days of T&D, she had already
resigned.

Oliver never thought that Kayden would give Anika the 30% of the shares! "Oliver, don't always blame
others.It's because you're too greedy”

"Alright, Kayden actually gave you 30% of the shares.He really loves you."

Oliver gritted his teeth and suddenly looked at Zac, pointing at him.

"Mr.Hill, aren't you afraid that Anika might cheat on you someday?’ Zac looked at the information in
Oliver's hand and raised his eyebrow.

"Oh?"

He smiled and asked, "What am I afraid of? These shares…”

"It's our common property.’
