Chapter 68

The car disappeared from view.

Anika stood there and paused for a moment before she turned around and walked towards the villa’s
gate.

Before she could even unlock the door via fingerprint, the door suddenly opened from the inside.

Anika saw Zac's face clearly so she walked forward and squinted at him with a smile, "Zac, I'm going
home."

Her head sank, and she vaguely remembered that when she went out, it seemed that someone had
said that they would wait for her at home.

Zac mumbled softly, sized her up a few times, and then assisted her towards the door.

Zac had already closed the door of the villa but Anika remained silent at the entrance, motionless.

After Zac smelled the faint smell of alcohol on her body, he frowned, "Why did you drink?"

"Oh, I drank a little."

Anika nodded blankly and said, "I was just very happy to see Harold get married today.’ She was
indeed very happy, but after she felt happy, she felt dizzy.

The man’s expression was slightly sluggish as he snorted and then raised his eyebrows.

"He is married to Pauline.What are you happy about?"

‘If I had known that she would come back like this, I should have followed her’ Anika frowned slightly
and thought for a while before replying, "If you get married, I will be happy too."



Hearing this, Zac pursed his lips and said with a heavy tone, "If I were to get married, would you be
happy?"

Anika nodded and looked at him puzzled, "Happy? Aren't you already married to me?"

‘He became my husband before I liked him.It's like winning the lottery.Why is he still unhappy?’ Zac
was speechless.

He thought, ‘There seemed to be nothing to refute’ Seeing that he did not answer, Anika raised her
eyes slightly and looked at the man in front of her.

After a pause, she stretched out her slender fingers and gently smoothed the wrinkles between his
eyebrows.

Unexpectedly, just as she was about to retract her hand, Zac quickly held it.

Looking at her rosy cheeks, Zac gulped.

His voice was hoarse, "Nika, are you taking advantage of me again?"

Anika shook her head, "I'm not taking advantage of you"

Zac chuckled and said casually, "Oh? Then what do you think is taking advantage of me?"

Her glittering big round eyes slightly lowered.

Anika curled her eyebrows and pondered for a moment before smiling at the man, "Probably, this is--"

She stood on tiptoe, her soft lips kissed his lower lips.

She kissed her gently and quickly.



After her impulsive action, she recalled it for a few seconds and smiled as she commented, "Sweet."

The atmosphere fell into a strange silence.

After a few minutes, the man suddenly spoke.

"Nika"

"Huh?"

"Can you still remember what happened tonight after you wake up tomorrow?"

After he saw her frown in confusion, Zac sighed and laughed.

He raised his eyebrows and said, "It's fine if you don't remember.After all, there is indeed a camera in
the living room-"

"Yesterday, you watched me doze off with your own eyes.On a Monday morning, Anika woke up in her
room and felt a little dizzy.

She did not have a good alcohol tolerance but she had no choice but to drink yesterday because it was
Harold’s wedding day.

It had been too long since they had seen each other, and the atmosphere was very good.

Besides, Anika took all the shots that Nataly was supposed to take because the latter still had to drive.

This made Anika drunk.

After rubbing her temples, Anika took off her pajamas and went into the bathroom to take a shower.

After she opened the door and went downstairs, she saw Zac and Callum sitting in the dining room.



On the table, there was milk and sunny-side-up eggs.

The two brothers sat silently.

Zac was dressed in a grey housecoat.

He was sitting there casually, looking down at the financial news on the tablet.

Callum sat opposite Zac.

His body was slightly tense and his round black eyes were staring at the plate in front of him.

As he saw Anika walk over, his eyes lit up as if he had seen a savior.

Anika looked at the egg on the table with a surprise on her face.

She turned around and asked, "Did you make breakfast?"

Zac didn't have the talent to cook.

Sunny-side up eggs and porridge were the only dishes he could cook.

The man put down the tablet in his hand and looked at her strangely.

Then, he nodded and said, "Yes-"

Anika did not care as she rubbed Callum's forehead, sat down in her seat, and ate breakfast.

However, a slightly threatening gaze locked onto her.

After being stared at by him, Anika finally raised her head and lifted one of her eyebrows, "Is there
something on my face?"



"No."

Zac raised his eyebrows and said, "But--"

"Nika, have you forgotten something with your indifferent attitude now?"

The man's voice became heavy.

It carried a hint of complaint.

Anika’s eyes were filled with doubt as she frowned and pondered.

The scene after leaving the wedding yesterday was a little shattered.

She only remembered that Nataly had sent her back to the villa, and then ...It was as if she had entered
her room with her last dazed consciousness.

After a pause, Anika met the man’s gaze and probed, "What did I forget?"

Zac leaned casually against the back of the chair and chuckled.

He pointed his slender finger at the screen on the side of the tablet and handed it to her.

His tone was casual, "You don't have to say that I'm wrongly accusing you.You should see for
yourself.’

Anika hesitantly took it.

On the screen was the surveillance footage of the living room.

Callum was about to leave the country in a few days, so he said tactfully to Anika that he didn't want his
nanny to care for him anymore.



Anika felt that even if his last nanny had made him more discreet, he did it voluntarily.

After all, Callum would go to school during the day, and there would also be a driver to pick him up
these few days.

Occasionally, she and Zac would come back late, and Callum would be alone at home.

They were afraid that something would happen to him, so a camera was installed in the living room the
day before yesterday.

At this moment, Anika looked at the video from last night and she gradually froze.

The video on the screen greatly impacted her.

She was so embarrassed that she was dumbfounded, unable to recover her senses for a couple of
minutes Although she knew that her alcohol tolerance was not good, Anika never expected that she
would do something outrageous while drunk.

In the video, Zac kept a proper distance from her.

She tiptoed, forcefully made him bow his head, kissed him, and walked up the stairs on her own.

After Zac was unfairly taken advantage of, he saw that her footsteps were unstable and kindly helped
her into her room.

After seeing what she had done, Anika lowered her head in frustration.

She no longer dared to look into Zac's eyes.

The man silently watched her expression and chuckled, "Why? Aren't you going to give me an
explanation?"



After he finished speaking, he saw Callum's head popping out of doubt.

He glanced at him lightly and pursed his lips, saying, "Callum, go upstairs and play with your toys."

Callum was most afraid of Zac these days, and he didn't dare to disobey him now.

So he looked at Anika, carefully jumped down from the chair, and then trotted back to his room.

The dining became quiet and only the two of them were left.

After a long silence, Anika raised her head and tried to explain to the man, "I was drunk last night..."

"So?"

‘I accidentally took advantage of you’ When the man heard this, he softly lifted his brows and asked,
"Nika, is this your explanation?’ in a voice that was neither harsh nor cheerful.

After a pause, Anika sighed and sincerely said, "Don't worry, I will ...try my best to compensate"

"You made a very big sin..." Zac smiled.

"Then tell me what compensation you can give me” Anika gagged.

‘To be honest, I really didn't know how to make up for my outrageousness.

After all, he didn't seem to lack anything: Seeing that she didn’t say anything, Zac raised his eyebrows
and said casually, "What? You can't think of anything?"

"What compensation do you want? As long as it's within my capabilities, I'll do my best.’ Anika raised
her eyes to look at him.

"Yes."

Anika nodded slowly.

After a moment of silence, the man chuckled and said with interest, "Since that's the case, then...I have
to think about it"Anika heaved a sigh of relief.Then, she heard Zac's casual hint.

"Nika, you've taken advantage of me.Wait until I make a request, don't even think about..."
