This was also the guarantee that Jael and his team had given Anika when they entered the profession.

Macy was straightforward.

Anika was obviously stunned.

Anika sat at her desk and opened her laptop.

Just as she was about to pull up the file to browse, she realized that her computer didn't seem to be
connected to the internet.



After trying to plug in the internet cable, she still didn't have the internet connection.

She was going on a business trip tomorrow.

Obviously, she needed to deal with these matters today before Sara could reply to Nevers.

She had no choice but to carry her laptop and go to study.

The door to the study room wasn't closed.

Looking around, Zac sat in front of the computer in a suit.

His expression was serious, as if he was having a video conference with someone.

He glanced at Anika standing at the door, the man put down his palm that was placed between his
straight nose and said in a clear voice, "Let's rest for half an hour.We'll continue later” Then, turned off
the video.

"What's the matter?"

He raised his eyebrows to ask her.

Anika curled her lips and said, "The laptop is broken.’ In the morning, she even threatened to be angry
with Zac, but now, she had no choice but to take the initiative to find him.

Anika was a little embarrassed and felt that her anger was already fading.

The man took the laptop in her hand and fiddled with it for a while.

Zac handed Anika another lighter laptop, which he usually used privately at home.

After Zac finished his conference call with the overseas branch, Anika was about to enter the kitchen to
cook when she walked downstairs.

When she saw Zac, she smiled and asked, "Hun, what do you want to eat?"

Zac raised his eyebrows in surprise.

He couldn't understand why the person who had purposefully kept a cold expression and appeared to
be angry had suddenly become kind.

After hesitating for a while, Zac slowly said, "Oh, I feel like eating pasta -"

"Alright’ Half an hour later, the two of them sat down at the dining table.

On the table, there were two bowls of steaming, creamy carbonara.

"Eat.” Anika handed him a fork.

Zac took it and asked, "What's wrong with you?"

"Nothing much.’ She raised her eyes to look at him and then said, "I just feel that you are a little more
cute today"

He discovered that he secretly searched for ways to repair water pipes, install light bulbs, and even
browsed through brands of detergent.

The anger in his heart mysteriously dissipated whenever he remembered how arrogant he was.

‘Who would have thought that Zac had a wild and proud front but behind that front, he was the
domesticated type.

Anika admired the man’s unnatural finish of the pasta as he went to the kitchen to wash the dishes.



She stood at the door and waited for him.

After Zac came out of the kitchen.

Anika smiled and asked, "In the beginning, why did you let me stay in the second bedroom?"

She could no longer wait for him to coax others.

What was the use of tidying up the living room? He was not afraid that she wouldn't discover it.

Seeing that she had returned to normal, Zac chuckled and asked, "Hun, have you ever heard of a
sentence? It's a good thing to be near the water."

"Have you calmed down?" He caressed her head.

"Yes." Anika answered.

She tilted her head to look at him.

Her eyes flashed with a sweet light as she smiled and said, "Hun, actually, I also want to pick the
moon.’ Take the moon off and soar into the sky.

"Is that so?"

The man pulled down his collar, wrapped his arms around her waist, and leaned over to her ear.

His mellow voice was like a low silent kiss, "Then I'll teach you how to pick it."
