Since she had to take Callum to go through the formalities during the day, Anika drove herself to work
today.

Her afternoon work was too busy, and by the time she drove back to the villa, it was already a little late.

As soon as she entered, she saw the back of the man leaning against the sofa.

Zac was watching TV out of boredom.

A children’s show was playing on the screen.

Anika looked around and felt that the living room had become much cleaner.

When Zac caught a glimpse of her entering, Zac casually said, "I've changed the broken light bulb in
the kitchen."

Anika nodded lightly, "Okay."

The man paused for a moment before continuing, "Just now, I also finished bathing that little brat."

"Okay"

It was still a simple response.

Zac frowned and coughed softly, "Do you have anything to ask?"

"None."

Anika shook her head.

After a pause, she turned her head and pursed her lips.



"No way, Zac.I've thought of something."

"What is it?"

"It was my fault for doing that to you before.Don't worry, it won't happen again"

She saw his scandal during the day and immediately received a phone call from Tony.

The man was apologizing.

This made Anika suddenly realize something.

Previously, she had discovered that she liked Zac and even wanted to catch up with him.

However, she had never thought that this would create any burden on her husband.

‘What if he doesn't like me?’ When Zac heard her words, his eyebrows furrowed.

"Then what?"

‘Then?’ Anika lowered her eyes and pondered for a moment before continuing, "You said before that
we are family, right?"

"Yes."

The man paused for a moment and nodded lightly.

"When we were in the orphanage, Nataly and I were Harold's older sisters.We always treated him as
our younger brother,"

Anika suddenly smiled as if she had thought of something.

Zac pursed his lips unhappily, but he was a little puzzled, "Nika, why did you suddenly mention him?"



"I just feel that it might be good for us to continue to be in charge of the family like this."

‘Lovers always say they won't separate, but families have stronger relationships’ Zac's expression
darkened as he looked at her with a strained gaze.

"Family? You mean, just like you and Harold?"

He smiled softly.

Sensing his displeasure, Anika paused slightly.

After thinking about it, she smiled and comforted, "Of course not.The man's expression eased a little,
and then he heard her gentle voice say…”

"I know that you are half a year older than me.If you want to be my older brother ...We can treat each
other that way."

"Older brother?"

he had the urge to beat Tony up.

Anika saw that he didn't speak anymore and went straight back to her room.

After changing to her pajamas, she sat down beside the bed and clicked the Viber on her phone.

Anika texted Alena, "I suddenly seem to be hesitating whether to continue chasing after people"

Alena replied, "Confused about what? Didn't Zac immediately make a statement saying that he didn't
know Maxine? Aren't you both single? During the day, Tony called Anika and explained that Maxine
was only his junior high school classmate and did not know Zac.

Not long after, Zac's official statement quickly dispelled the rumors and clarified the scandal.

He directly sent a lawyer's letter to a few marketing agencies that created rumors and also said that he
was considering prosecuting.

The marketing agencies immediately deleted the scandal, and Maxine also posted a tweet admitting
that she did not know Zac and that it was all a misunderstanding.

However, an insider revealed that Maxine had been directly removed from the new show host that had
been prepared for a long time as if someone was dissatisfied with her behavior.

Even though she had suspected that Maxine was Zac's so-called first love at the beginning, when she

Alena said that both of them were single.

‘But Zac hadn't fallen in love in all these years.

relationship?’ Anika felt that she should restrain herself and not burden Zac because of her evil heart.

On Saturday, Anika woke up early in the morning.

It was the day that Callum was going to be sent abroad.

Callum didn't have much luggage.

Recently, Sheena called Callum from time to time to chat with him.

The child's things were also well prepared.

After helping Callum pack his things, Anika and Zac drove him to the airport.

Anika put away her thoughts and opened the door to get out of the car.

After walking into the departure hall, she led Callum to the check-in counter and filled out the flight
application form for an unaccompanied child who had reached the age of five according to the
procedure.

She wrote the name and address of Sheena together with her contact information.

Sheena knew that Callum’s flight would take place in advance.

When the plane arrived in the United States, the flight attendants would send Callum to Sheena and
her husband.



After applying, the flight attendant who was in charge of taking care of Callum on the plane waited by
the side.

The three of them had a final chat.

Anika bent down and silently said to Callum, "Do you still remember what Auntie looks like?"

The entire week, Sheena would video chat with Callum every day.

Anika did this for two reasons.

Firstly, she was afraid that Callum would be scared and uncomfortable with her aunt, and secondly, she
wanted Callum to get familiar with his aunt.

At least for now, Callum was no longer reluctant to live with his aunt.

"I remember.’ Callum raised his little face and nodded confidently.

Then, he looked at Anika and said sincerely, "Sis, I will miss you."

After he finished speaking, he paused for a while and looked at Zac who was silent on the side.

He whispered, "I will miss you too"

Zac glanced at the child in front of him, then took out a small wallet and said in a calm voice, "Hey, take
this money with you."

Anika took it for Callum and put it in his pocket before realizing that it was a change of dollars in his
wallet.

It seemed that although Zac was strict with Callum, he was still concerned for his brother.



Callum was taken away by the flight attendants, and when he entered the security checkpoint, he was
still reluctantly looking back.

Only when that tiny figure disappeared did Anika sigh lightly.
