crying, Matilda.”

Matilda wiped her tears. “John has never left us up until now.”

She turned to look at the French window while lying on the yoga mat to see John’s car parked outside,
while he came to the front door with his luggage in tow. Slowly, Sophia went to open the door for him.
John put his luggage aside and looked at the lock. “Enter my fingerprint.” Sophia entered it calmly and
set it as one of the passes to enter.

After she was done, he went upstairs while pulling his luggage with him. “I’m staying in the room beside
the study.”

Sophia looked at him quietly. For some reason, she thought she was facing the home’s owner, and she
had lost all power here the instant he appeared. The house is mine though, she thought. A moment
later, John came down.



He looked around at the living room. “I ordered some delivery. Wanna eat together?”

Sophia sneered. “I can cook, so I don’t need deliveries.”

John chose to ignore that and sat on the sofa to wait for his delivery.
