Ian, who was also peering back, suddenly laughed. “What? Who did you see just now? What’s that
face about?”

She pursed her lips as she sneaked a sigh and looked away, as if she was shying away from his gaze.
“No one. Just tired from walking.”

Finished, she walked to the couch and said to Aurora, “You’re awake. Are you feeling any better?”
