Cindy’s mouth hung open for a long time before she responded, “Huh? Why?”



Ian let out a helpless sigh. “She had too much to drink, and it seems like she’s out of her mind. I can’t
leave her in the hotel like this, so I’ll bring her back in a while. She might be a bit noisy, so you don’t
have to come out of your room. I’ll let her sleep in my room, whereas I’ll sleep in the living room.”

Cindy knitted her brows. “How did she get drunk?”

Ian didn’t want to mention the details, and he was quite irritable now that he had to keep a drunkard
under control. After taking a deep breath, he said frankly, “I’m just calling you to tell you about this. You
don’t have to come out when you hear the noise later. Just go to sleep.”

Aurora’s whimpering and howling voice could be heard through the cell phone, so Cindy could tell how
drunk she was without Ian telling her about it. “Okay,” she replied. Then, she reminded him, “Be careful
then.”

With that, Ian hung up right away.
