Chapter 1500 Love Hurts

Davon had a high fever that had last for days, but there was no other symptom. Morgan didn't know
what to do, so she could only use the clumsiest method to keep him alive.

Three days soon passed. Morgan was so tired that she could hardly stand. She thought that Davon
would continue to have the fever, yet she found that the fever stopped.

Morgan cried out in joy.

The families of the deceased are about to start the funeral.

Morgan put Davon on the hearse according to her plan and followed the deceased to the crematorium.

After the hearse entered, a staff member came to check. After exchanging a glance with Morgan, he
took Davon away.

Morgan got out of the car and followed the staff to the urn hall with Davon through the internal
channels.

There weren't many people here, only one or two waiters.

Morgan covered Davon with a white cloth and pushed him into a special room at the side.

The temperature in this room is a little low, but it is still good for Davon. Others would probably not
believe that Davon would stay in the crematorium.

"What happened?"

After the staff left, Morgan saw Jarrod.

here?"



"Samuel called and asked me to take care of him. From now on, you will be following my orders. He
will be safe here during this time. Let me know if you need any medicine or equipment. No matter at

Morgan was afraid of Jarrod.

Jarrod looked at the smoke outside and said calmly, "They will be fine. He never does things that he

"But what should they do then? It will be a long time. What about their kids? They can't see their
parents?"

Amelia thought it was unfair.

Jarrod held her hands in his and blew on them. He whispered, "It won't be too long with the Don and

"I'll go with you."

Amelia said gently and Jarrod smiled.

"You can't run from me anyway, can you?"

Standing together, they had made a beautiful landscape painting out of themselves.

On the third morning, Phoenix's fever finally stopped. Looking at Zayn in front of her, she felt as if he
had become much more haggard.

"Zayn, why are you here?"

"You've been running a fever for three days. How can I leave before you wake up?"

Zayn's voice was hoarse.

Phoenix had never found her brother so lovely. But no she was touched. Perhaps it was because of
Davon, or perhaps it was because they were related by blood, she needed him very much now.



"Zayn, I seem to have seen Davon in my dream."

Phoenix felt a sting in her heart when talking about Davon.

Zayn knew what she was feeling, but there were some things he couldn't tell her. He could only watch
helplessly as Phoenix was in pain.

"Everything is in vain if a person dies. You have to be open-minded. You have to know that if he was
still alive, he would definitely not want to see you like this."

What Phoenix made Zayn cry.

"Inez, actually..."

"Zayn, the head guard wants to see you."

Zayn was interrupted by Lucas, and he instantly became sober.

Zayn glanced at Lucas and saw Lucas walking over with a bowl of millet porridge.



"Phoenix, I asked the cook to make it for you. It's warm and you should have it now. The doctor said

Lucas was considerate and he made Phoenix moved.

"Alright, thank you, Lucas."

Phoenix took the millet porridge and began to eat it.

Phoenix nodded.

Losing Davon was very painful for her, but the dead had already passed away, so she still had to plan
for the living.

Phoenix knew that her heart was dead. The moment she learned that Davon had passed away, her
heart was buried together.

Now she had to take good care of the children for Nicole and Samuel as well as the Don family and her
parents-in-law.

How sad they would be if they knew about Davon's death!

She still had tons of things to deal with so that she would have to recover as soon as possible.



Phoenix tried her best to eat more. Lucas had always been there with her. He was quiet, but he could
always give people a sense of warmth.

She couldn't help but wonder, if she could give birth, what would her child with Davon be like?

Wasn't he as obedient and clever as Lucas?

Phoenix's heart ached again.

"Lucas, I have been ill these past few days. I bet you didn't get much rest as well, right? Come on up
then. Let me hold you and let's get some sleep."

Usually Lucas would definitely refuse.

He was already five years old, how could he sleep with a woman? However, Davon had gone and
Phoenix was so sad. He didn't know what was going on with Mommy and Daddy. So he should take the
responsibility to take care of Phoenix, shouldn't he?

Thus, Lucas took off his shoes and went to bed, obediently lying in the arms of Phoenix.

The little boy felt warm and she was filled with strength when holding him.

Phoenix thought that it might be maternal love, but it was a pity that she could not experience it for the
rest of her life.

Therefore, her affection for Lucas grew.

She was sick, so she fell asleep soon with Lucas in her arms. Lucas looked outside. Since there was
nothing he could do now, then why didn't he get some sleep? No matter what he would do next, he
would have to sleep well first.



Phoenix did not dream this time and slept soundly.

Two days later, Phoenix had recovered and she decided to return home.

Although Zayn was a little reluctant, he knew that this was Phoenix's decision. Besides, it wouldn't be

returned.

while Phoenix and Lucas were taken back to the Don family after they got there.

also picked up.

back yet?"
