Chapter 1780 Leave This to Me

Yasmeen had a murderous look.

Zoe hastily held her hand and said, "Don't be impulsive. It's against the law to kill someone. And you
can't do it until it's absolutely necessary."

"But I always feel that Julian is plotting something. And the day Lucas went on his mission, it was also
Julian who called me and asked me to come over, saying that there seemed to be something wrong
with Lucas' health report, so I rushed over. But I went there only to find out that it was a kidnap scene. I
tried to exit when I met Lucas's eyes. If it hadn't been for my presence, Lucas might not have made the
mistake, and Penny would not have been injured and rendered sterile for life. All this now seems like it
was designed to happen. But I wasn't sure if the kidnapper and Julian were in cahoots. After all, there
is no way to inquire since the person is not on our side."

Yasmeen voiced out her thoughts over the past few days.

Lucas was definitely not incompetent. He had ended every mission perfectly and the only time he had
failed was when she appeared at the scene of the kidnapping.

Yasmeen didn't say these things to Lucas. For one thing, she didn't know how to bring up the fact that
she and Julian knew each other when she said it, and for another, she had no proof. It wasn't a good
idea of her to judge the matter in her present status as a princess of another country.

But Zoe was different.

They were just friends and could talk about it as a casual conversation. And with Zoe's connections,
she could find out what she wanted to find out.

It had to be said that Yasmeen's status as a princess of another country was very restricted in Country
Z. Her connections and channels could not be used until it was absolutely necessary, lest it would



attract the attention and speculation of the government and bring unnecessary trouble to Lucas and the
Green Family.

But if Zoe were to check it out, it wouldn't cause too much concern.

"Leave this to me. You stay out of it. Right now, your main task is to have your body properly checked.
No, I can't listen to you. You're only reporting good news whenever my brother is involved. How could
you still drink coffee when you're in such a state? Do you want to die? Get up and come with me to the
hospital. I won't put my mind at ease until you have a medical check-up."

Zoe poured out the coffee in front of Yasmeen and called her people to make an appointment for a
medical check-up, and in her name.

Yasmeen was touched but did not refuse.

Perhaps it was the only way to put Zoe's mind at ease.

The two of them went to the hospital for a check-up and Yasmeen's medical report came out.

Zoe was relieved to see that the report was acceptable.

Yasmeen stepped forward and wrapped her arms around her neck, then said with a smile, "You
promised to keep my secret."

"I know."

Zoe was a little depressed, but also heartbroken for Yasmeen. She dragged her to the health-products
shop, where she bought her a lot of things.

Yasmeen was speechless.

"Do you have to do this? Aren't you clearly telling people that I'm in bad health?"



"You're getting married to my brother. What's wrong with me buying you some supplements to
replenish your body? Besides, there really is no such thing as a secret. How long can you keep this
from my brother?"

Zoe didn't think Lucas was blind.

She always thought Lucas might have known something before he suddenly accepted Yasmeen.

But she couldn't talk about it without confirming it.

It was just about sunset when the two of them returned to the Greene’s house.

Nicole had already started preparing dinner.

Over the past two years, Nicole had instead focused on improving her cooking skills. Samuel was
distressed but couldn't bear to see his wife upset, so he helped her in the kitchen.

Zoe and Yasmeen made a lot of noise when they returned and Joseph and Lucas were affected and
came out of the study.

Tanner and Eaton were staying at school and not coming back for the night, so when the two men, who
were engrossed in work and research, saw them come in with big bags of stuff, they rolled up their
sleeves in unison and started helping them carry it home.

"Did you guys move the whole mall back?"

Lucas looked at so many supplements and was a little puzzled.

Zoe smiled and said, "My brother is getting married soon. Of course, I have to buy some supplements
for my future sister-in-law. What's wrong with that? Is that not okay?"

"Okay, thank you."



Lucas smiled gently, then touched Yasmeen's head and said, "Did you see that? I'll supervise you to
eat all these supplements later."

"No? Are you serious?"

Yasmeen was speechless.

There had to be a limit to how much Lucas spoiled his sister!

She really couldn't eat all of this.

Lucas, however, didn't say anything else and helped carry the stuff inside.

Joseph didn't say anything, but smiled too and moved the things inside.

While Yasmeen wasn't looking, Zoe tugged Lucas' sleeve and whispered, "Brother, I need to talk to you
about something later. You have to spare some time for me."

"Okay."

Lucas nodded and started to move the stuff.

They finished moving the things after half an hour or so without anyone else interfering. The question of
how it should be collected was left to the servants.

Looking at the clothes Yasmeen had bought for him, Lucas smiled and said, "You still remembered."

"Of course. I couldn't let you go without clothes."

Yasmeen pouted, which really charmed him.

"I'll go up and try."



"Okay."

Yasmeen smiled and gave Lucas all the clothes.

Lucas took his clothes upstairs and glanced at Zoe on his way up. It didn't take long for Zoe to get up
too and say, "I'm going upstairs to take a shower. It stinks."

"Go on. I'll take a break. My feet hurt."

Yasmeen was feeling a bit tired from the high heels she was wearing today.

Zoe asked the maid to pour her a glass of honey water, while she went upstairs into her room.

Yasmeen breathed a sigh of relief as he watched Zoe go into her room.

It couldn't be helped. She was really afraid that Zoe would tell Lucas the truth. Although she couldn't
hide it from Lucas for the rest of her life, she really didn't want Lucas to marry her now in return for her
favor.

That wasn't the kind of love she wanted.

What she didn’t know was that Lucas and Zoe's rooms were actually connected.

As a child, Zoe had trouble sleeping and was always scared, and every time she got up she had to look
for Lucas. Samuel had no choice but to connect the two rooms, leaving a secret door.

But as Zoe and Lucas grew up, the secret door was useless. As Lucas rarely came home and Zoe was
gender-conscious, she naturally did not go to Lucas' room every now and then.

She would have forgotten that there was a secret door if it hadn't been for a reason today.



When she opened the door, Lucas was casually sitting on the sofa making coffee, which was a little
disappointing to Zoe.

She had expected to see her brother changing his clothes.
