Chapter 7: Red Dress

Venice's heart was jumping with joy while speaking to Theo.And out of her happiness, she leaned
closer to him.

She was so ecstatic that Danica decided to suggest a divorce and end her relationship with Theo.She
did not expect Danica to be so willing to cut ties with him.

Venice had always been remorseful, remembering that she broke up with Theo before.She actually did
not intend to end the relationship during that time because she thought that Theo would wait for her.

She was on the verge of losing her mind when he did not.She encouraged Thalia, Theo's sister, to find
issues with Danica for the past three years.She kept pleading with her to cause strife between Theo
and Danica, making her brother despise his own wife.

Venice had known Theo for quite a while, that she was fully aware of his arrogant demeanor.

And with Danica ending their relationship publicly, there was no doubt that she would marry him soon.

And it would be out in the open.

If Danica had not announced her plans to divorce Theo, she would have to find a way to convince
Thalia to work with her to ruin Danica and Theo's relationship.

Now, it seemed that the heavens were helping her that she no longer had to put much effort into
dealing with Danica.

Celestie led Danica into her van as soon as she exited the stage.

Danica's hands and feet got mushy as soon as she slumped on the seat.



She was so frightened that she did not think she would finish her speech and show her real attitude
towards Theo.

Celestie hugged her arm and tried to give her comfort.

"Wow! Darling, you looked so beautiful, especially earlier when you were up on the stage."

Danica turned to look at her and said weakly, "Really?"

She didn't want to be in such a dazzling position.

All she wanted to do was to do it well.

It was the only way she knew that would force Theo to divorce her without hesitation.

Celestie released Danica’s arm to take her phone out.

"Yes, for sure! Look, I even recorded it for you."

Hearing Celestie's praises rendered Danica speechless.

Celestie gloated as she glanced over the video she had captured, "Hey, you don't even know how
indescribable Theo's expression was earlier.There are no words for it! It's possible that he would never
experience such a grim moment in his glorious freaking life."

Danica's gaze got drawn to Theo's stern face on the video, and the longer that she stared at him, the
more she felt a stab of anguish in her heart.

It was too much for her that she could not look at him anymore.

From now on, she would treat him like a stranger if they met in the future.



Because of what happened yesterday, a group of reporters had waited outside the entrance of the Civil
Affairs Bureau the following day, waiting to take some footage of how Theo's divorce would go.

At exactly eight-thirty, Theo came out from the Civil Affairs Bureau wearing a pair of oversized
sunglasses.

No one could tell his reactions towards the situation, but all reporters were frantically taking pictures of
him.

However, none of them had seen Mrs.Dalton, who filed the divorce.

Mrs.Dalton was dressed in bright red in the photographs that had circulated last night, so they were all
waiting for her to show up.

The reporters stayed in the place as they were anticipating her presence.

About half-past nine, the reporters went wild when they saw a woman from afar.

She was wearing a cap and a mask, making it difficult for them to identify who she was.

But she had left a strong smell of alcohol on the way, which made the reporters frown.

‘Where did the smell come from? Why did it smell like alcohol? Why did she come to the Civil Affairs
Bureau early in the morning?’ reporters began to think to themselves.

They had no idea that this drunkard was Mrs.Dalton.

Last night, she drank with Celestie until three o'clock in the morning in celebration of her getting out of
the sea of bitterness.

But of course, the hidden reason was she wanted to drink the pain away.



No one should expect her to instantly just set aside her feelings for Theo.

After all, she had been in love with him for about three years, so this feeling could not just quickly fade
away.

Because of Theo's status, the staff of the Civil Affairs Bureau exerted more effort in preparing the room
where the couple would go through the formalities.

Danica entered the room with an unpleasant grimace on his face.

"Sorry, I just woke up.Celestie and I had a long night.We drank so much that I had a hard time waking
up" she said.

Theo had spent a long time sitting in a chair and waiting for her.

His face was getting angrier every passing minute.He furrowed his eyebrows as soon as he heard
Danica.He smirked at her and said, "Danica, are you depressed because we are getting divorced? If
that's the case, then I'm willing to.I can just…”
