Chapter 26: She Didn&##x27;t Deserve It

"What did you say? Your brother helped Danica?" Venice asked, reconfirming if she heard it right.

Her face was still filled with disbelief.She knew how Theo ignored Danica during their three years of
marriage.She had also witnessed how Danica humiliated Theo in front of many guests during the
Daltons’ company anniversary.

The fact that Danica did that, Theo must have hated her which was why she couldn't believe what
Thalia said.

‘I must have heard it wrong! How could Theo help Danica when he didn't even care about her before?’
She tried to convince herself.

It was just too impossible that Venice could not really believe it.

"Yeah” Thalia confirmed, and while crying, she told Venice about all her grudges against Danica.

Thalia's frustrations shifted to her brother, and she complained about how mad she was at him.

"How could my brother do this to me? He had already divorced Danica, but why does he still help her
as if he was concerned about her?"

Thalia only cared about her own feelings.

She didn't even realize she was talking too much and that she might have hurt Venice, who was now
Theo's fiancee.

After hearing all of this, Venice couldn't help but get furious as a lot of negative scenarios came to her
mind.She took a deep breath and tried to calm herself.



"Thalia, your brother might not really be concerned about her.Maybe you just misunderstood his
actions."

As Theo's fiancee, she felt very insulted.

At least saying this could make her save her pride.

"Think about it.When they were still together, did your brother even care for her? Or did he even protect
her?" Venice added.

"Your brother was just protecting you and your family's reputation.If he didn't scold you, everyone will
think that he didn't know how to discipline you, right? He just did that to clean up your mess."

Venice seemed to be comforting Thalia, but she was actually mocking her for making a mess and
asking Theo's help, which prompted Theo to act kindly in front of Danica.

Sarcasm was very obvious in her tone, but Thalia, who was a little slow, didn't notice it.She was too
fascinated with Venice's idea that Theo was only protecting her, so she didn't think about anything
else.Her mood lit up, and she wasn't that depressed anymore.

However, she still couldn't forget what Danica did to her, so she whined again.

"I really hate Danica’s guts and everything about her! She was so annoying and thinks highly of herself
that she wasn't afraid of me anymore! Is she doing this to get the attention of my brother and be with
him again?"

Venice got very annoyed at what Thalia said that she didn't want to hear anything about Danica
anymore.

Just the thought that Theo and Danica once had a three-year intimate relationship, made her feel
bad.She and Theo hadn't reached that point yet.



Throughout the year that Theo had divorced Danica, she tried several times to seduce him and showed
a lot of hints that she wanted sex, but Theo seemed blind to notice it and didn't even make a move.

Even before Danica came into the picture, nothing had happened to them.Her relationship with Theo
before he married Danica was just simple.

Other than casual dates, they never had any intimate moments together.

At that time, it wasn't that Theo didn't want to have sex with her, but she was afraid that Theo would
just dump her after he got her.

But now, the situation changed.

It was her who desperately wanted to give herself to him and it was Theo who didn't want it anymore.

Venice couldn't help but clench her fists tightly when she thought of this.She regretted it, and all she
could do now was to make him want her again.

"Venice, since my brother grounded me, you have to help me convince him to lift my punishment.I can't
take it! I will be suffocated to death!"

Thalia nagged again.

"Okay, I will tell him.I still have something to do, so I'll hang up first."

Venice agreed and ended the call.

After hanging up, Venice was no longer in the mood to make soup, so she just turned off the fire and
went to find someone to investigate Danica.

Meanwhile, after Danica left the hospital, she called a taxi to take her home.



On the way, she also called Celestie to inform her that she was fine.

Celestie heaved a sigh of relief.

"It's good that you are fine now.Your skin is so flawless, and if it leaves a scar on you, I will really tear
Thalia apart!"she said angrily.

If Danica hadn't stopped her, Thalia would have probably tasted her wrath.

"By the way, now that Thalia knows you're back, Venice might have already known as well.Be careful,
she might make things difficult for you again"Celestie warned her.

Danica couldn't help but smile at her concerned friend.

"I'm not interested in Theo anymore, so I think there's no need for her to pick on me, right?"

Back then, Venice sent Danica her pregnancy test result with a note saying that she was pregnant with
Theo's child.

Danica took it seriously that it hurt her.

But her pain deepened when Theo ruthlessly told her that he didn’t want to have a child with her
because she wasn't worthy.

It was what made him realize that she needed to let him go and pursue the painful decision of getting a
divorce.

She wanted to give Theo the freedom to be with the woman he truly loved.
