Chapter 43: You Were Spoiled (2)

Manuel called and asked her about the aftermath of her conversation with Theo.

Danica told the truth, "Mr.Shaw, because of some unexpected guests, Mr.Dalton and I didn't manage to
reach an agreement tonight"

Manuel asked her with concern, "What's wrong? What happened?"

Danica couldn't tell Manuel that Theo had reached out to hand her a tissue to wipe her coffee, and then
Venice came in and caused a scene.

Danica's situation was also very awkward when something like this happened.

People could get it twisted and might think that she was the mistress who shamelessly destroyed
Venice's relationship with Theo.

So Danica chose her words carefully and said, "Nothing, I just think that a lot has happened between
Mr.Dalton and me.

Manuel understood what she meant.

"You want to quit?"

"I think so,"

Danica admitted.



Originally, she only felt that it would be difficult to work with Theo, but after the thought of being a

Patrick did not let Theo drink a drop.

hands.

He came to Patrick's bar to drink.

Patrick faintly said, "After Danica came back, I remembered how she would take care of you when your
stomach cannot handle a drink."

Patrick and the others knew that Theo had a bad stomach.



In the three years that Theo and Danica had been married, they rarely drank, and Patrick had almost
forgotten that Theo had a bad stomach.

Patrick sincerely apologized, "I have drunk a lot of wine with you this year.That's already enough.I'm
sorry"

Theo was already annoyed, but when Patrick suddenly mentioned Danica's name, he became more
irritable.

He also mentioned how Danica took care of him in every possible way, and his mood immediately
worsened.

After everything that happened tonight, Theo felt in his gut that Danica had been seriously hurt by the
incident from earlier.

Theo's phone suddenly rang.

Theo's mood soured further by Manuel's news.

Theo's voice was laced with fury when he asked, "She wants to quit?"

Manuel answered truthfully, "Yes? Theo couldn't hold it in any longer and threw the phone onto the wall
in front of him.

‘What the hell did he mean that he'd end our partnership? Danica will quit anytime she wants?’

‘Who spoiled her?’ she thought angrily
