Chapter 25: It Would Be Hard in the Coming Days

"What's going on, bro?" Felix asked Theo after recovering from the shock.

From Theo's face, Felix's eyes moved to the hundred-dollar bill in his friend's hand.

He was surprised and at that moment, he really wanted to laugh at his friend.

However, seeing Theo's angry expression, he realized it wasn't a good idea, so he stopped himself.

Theo, on the other hand, gritted his teeth in anger and firmly held the hundred-dollar bill.

Then, without a word, he left Felix's office.

Right after Theo left, Felix immediately called Patrick to tell him what had happened.

"Guess who Theo just brought to see me?" he asked excitedly.

"Danica, '' Patrick answered right away.

"How did you know, bro? Did you also know that Danica is back?" Felix got more surprised.

"Well, yes.I also witnessed her making Theo speechless a few times; Patrick replied casually and told
him what Danica did.Felix automatically burst into laughter.He then told Patrick what had happened in
his office a while ago.He really couldn't believe that someone dared to insult his mighty friend.

What was more shocking was that it was his ex-wife, Danica, who used to be very innocent and gentle.

After hearing what had happened, Patrick helplessly shook his head for Theo.

"I'm afraid this won't be the last time Danica will do this if they still see each other’ he said,
remembering how the two treated each other whenever they met.

"Then why is Theo still in contact with Danica?" Felix asked.



He was really puzzled as to why his friend kept on seeing his ex-wife.

"Well, Theo thought that Danica was still in love with him and just playing hard to get to him, so he
wanted to make sure of it,'' Patrick replied.

‘Seriously?’ Felix wanted to say that but decided to keep it to himself.

He remained silent for a moment and tried to recall Danica's reaction in front of Theo.

Then, he replied, "But it seems like Danica is no longer interested in our friend.I think she didn't even
want to talk to him at all.”

Patrick grinned and said, "Yeah, I also think that, but our friend seemed very confident that his ex-wife
was just playing hard to get."

"You think so too? Then why didn't you tell Theo?"

Felix's eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"You think he would believe if I told him? Danica was so in love with him before that she was willing to
do everything for Theo.He definitely would not believe that Danica had stopped loving him.And if I were
in his shoes, I wouldn't believe it either” Patrick said.

Patrick had a point.

Danica and Theo's marriage lasted for three years, and as Theo's friends, they both knew how the
woman did everything just to make it work.

However, based on what they had seen, it seemed like Danica wasn't the one who wanted Theo now,
but it was the other way around.

Felix was confused that his forehead creased.



"Why is he doing this? Isn't he going to marry Venice?"

Recently, rumors about Venice marrying Theo were everywhere.

Everyone thought that the two were already married, but became uncertain when there was no
marriage certificate shown.

Patrick just shrugged his shoulders.

"Who knows? We both don't know what is running on his mind."

This matter was like drinking water.

Only those who drink knew how to feel the water best, which meant that only Theo knew his own
feelings.

"Why do I feel that his feelings towards Venice were shallow and not really from the depths of his
heart?" Felix said.

"Otherwise, why did he break up with Venice before and marry Danica? Even if his grandfather forced
him, he wouldn't have agreed with the marriage.With his personality, we both know that he isn't
someone who lets other people manipulate him, even if it's his loved ones” Felix added.

Patrick couldn't help but raise his eyebrows when he heard this.

"You mean he liked Danica from the beginning and wasn't really against their marriage?" he asked.

"If it's really like what you said, then I think he will be miserable in the future" Patrick added.

Thalia burst into tears the moment he sat in her.

The driver had no choice but to get out of the car and light a cigarette to smoke.

Being the driver of this arrogant and unreasonable woman made him feel unlucky.

For eight years, his life as Thalia's driver had been really hard.

If the Dalton family hadn't been generous with his salary, he would have quit a long time ago.

After Thalia finished making a fuss, the first thing she did was call Venice.

She wanted to talk with her about what her brother had done to her in front of the production team.

Until now, she still couldn't believe that her brother scolded her in public, and even punished her for
Danica.

sister-in-law soon. She thought Thalia was just calling for unimportant matters but didn't expect to hear
something shocking.

What Thalia said was enough to stop her breathing for a moment.She didn't even notice the spoon she
was holding fell to the ground.
