Chapter 21: Apology

Thalia rushed to her brother when she heard his voice and whined, "Theo! That bitch Danica splashed
my face with coffee!"

Thalia had done something similar a few years ago, and Danica was used to her manipulations.

She didn't expect Theo to defend her.She whispered to Celeste, "I'll go to the bathroom first"

Danica didn't want to stay and continued with the arguments.

Although Thalia hurled the coffee to her arm, she had also washed Thalia's face with coffee.

For her, they were even.She needed to deal with the burns on her wrist right now and rinse it with cold
water.

It should ease the pain a bit.

But unlike her friend, Celestie couldn't stop herself from attacking Thalia.

She shot back, "Why don't you tell your brother that it was you who first splashed a scorching hot
coffee on Danica’s arm?"

Celestie snatched Danica's sweltering arm before her friend fled the scene.

"Danica's arm has been scalded to this extent, and yet you complained about your face first!"

She clenched her teeth.

"If anything bad happens to her, I will destroy your face!"

Celestie spat.

Theo didn't notice Danica's wounded arm not until Celestie rolled the short sleeves up from her arms.



His eyes darkened to pitch black and his voice thundered, "Apologize to her!"

Thalia proudly crossed her arms and yelled at Danica, "My brother has spoken, hurry up and apologize
to me!"

"L asked you to apologize!"

Theo ordered and glared at Thalia coldly.

Danica, Celestie, and the rest were taken aback, but Danica veered her eyes away.

It was quite ironic that while they were married, Theo had never protected her.

But now that they had been divorced for a year, he finally backed her up.

Theo was showing her the overdue concern she needed before but she no longer longs for it.

She didn't need his protection, so she wasn't grateful at all.

"What?"

Thalia yelled in frustration.

"But Theo! Are you mistaken? Why should I apologize?"

Thalia stomped her feet.

"I splashed coffee on her, but she also did!"

Celestie had never been afraid of quarreling and had never lost before, so she hotly retorted, "Would
Danica splash on you if you hadn't done it first?"



Celestie shifted her gaze to Theo, and said in contempt, "Theo, your sister kept lying through her
teeth.Danica and I are having a nice cup of coffee.She approached and chastised Danica for ignoring
her.Forgive me for being direct, but the first one who attacked is immature and should be punished"

Thalia was infuriated and wanted to assault them again.

Theo exuded an imposing aura around him, and when he fixed his gaze at Thalia, she froze on the
spot.

However, Thalia still refused to apologize.

She gritted her teeth and rudely announced, "I won't apologize! I won't ask forgiveness from her even if
I die!"

Theo threw her a furious glare.

"Since you refused to apologize, then stay at home and reflect the immaturity you displayed today."

Thalia's chest tightened with rage.

Theo shifted his gaze back to Danica, who remained silent.

"I'll drive you to the hospital."

Danica responded, "There's no need.Thank you, Sir Dalton.It's nothing serious"

Her tone and expression were stiff and frigid as if they were strangers meeting for the first time.

Theo stared at her defiant expression, and the indescribable frustration in his heart grew stronger.

"It's alarmingly reddish and swollen, yet you still insist it's nothing serious?" he argued.



"It's fine? “ Danica refused.If she wanted to go to the hospital, she would rather go alone than go with
Theo.

For a brief moment, Theo's face dimmed, and the two of them were in a stalemate.
