Chapter 27: A Decent Job

When Danica went abroad, Celestie informed her that Venice wasn't really pregnant.

The pregnancy test result that she sent was fake, and she purposely did it for her to give up on her
marriage with Theo.

But Danica didn't hate her that much.

After all, even if Venice didn't do that, her marriage with Theo would still end because it was just a one-
sided love.

Theo didn't love her, and she knew that he wouldn't love her in the future as well, so she decided to
end it.

It was really the main reason why she asked for a divorce and not because of Venice's scheme.

After discovering the truth, Danica remained silent and didn't tell Theo about it.

Since the two of them were already divorced, she no longer saw the point in telling him about it
anymore.

However, Danica couldn't help but think how ironic her life was.

Theo kept on suspecting her that she was planning something wicked against him, when in fact, it was
the woman he loved who was really scheming.

Hearing how calm Danica was, Celestie couldn't help but make a joke.

"Although you don't want to talk to your ex-husband anymore, what if Theo keeps on talking to you and
pestering your life? What are you going to do?" Celestie asked, which made her laugh sarcastically.

Danica felt it was the biggest joke she had ever heard.



"Celestie, are you kidding me? How could you say such a thing? Theo would never waste his time
doing that” she said helplessly as she shook her head.

She didn't expect her friend would think like that.

Danica couldn't even imagine Theo finding time to pester her.

Theo was always known as a high and mighty man, and someone like her wouldn't be worth his time.

However, if Theo really did that, it was fine with Danica as long as he wouldn't fire her and look for
another scriptwriter.

‘If he found out that I was the scriptwriter of the drama he had invested in, he wouldn't ask Director
Shaw to replace me, right?’ Danica thought.

Celestie smiled hearing what Danica said and replied, "That's good.Maybe I was just overthinking"

"Don't worry, okay? Just focus on your shooting.I will be careful, so there's nothing to worry about”
Danica reassured Celestie.

She knew that Celestie was worried about her getting bullied again, but she was no longer the innocent
Danica as before.

For three years of being Theo's wife, Danica silently endured all the bad treatments she received from
Therese, Theo's mother, Thalia, and Venice, because she didn't want to be a burden to Theo and give
him a hard time.

Therese and Thalia showed their displeasure towards her through direct insults, but Venice did it
discreetly.

Although Theo and Danica’s marriage was held secretly, Venice knew.



But she still made everyone believe that she and Theo were ina relationship by always staying at
Theo's side, especially in big events.

Now that Danica didn't care about Theo's feelings anymore, she wouldn't let them treat her like they did
before.

This time, she would fight just like how she splashed coffee on Thalia a while ago.

Venice was still investigating Danica, but she didn't know Theo was daing the same, and he had
already gotten the result.

In the president's office, Theo sat at his desk frowning as he stared at the name of the scriptwriter on
the investigation report.

He didn't know why he suddenly felt a slight chill as he read the scriptwriter’s name.

‘Why does this name seem so familiar?’ he thought and tried to remember where he had heard it.

Then he quickly took the document and opened it.

Right then, he saw a very familiar name printed on it.

At that moment, he finally figured out why the scriptwriter's name on the investigation report was very
familiar.

It was the same scriptwriter of the ancient drama he was producing with Manuel Shaw, and that person
was no other than his ex-wife, Danica.

Theo's jaw dropped.

What he found was just too hard to believe.



He suddenly remembered how Manuel praised the scriptwriter named Wisteria at that time when he
recommended her to him.

Manuel said that although she was still a newbie, she was talented and had an excellent writing
style.He said that her ability to tell stories would surely make the audience relate and fall in love with
the entire story.

Remembering how Manuel admired Danica’s ability, Theo couldn't help but reminisce about his
impression of his ex-wife in the past three years.

Unlike Manuel's great admiration, he always regarded Danica as a dull and innocent woman.

Theo didn't expect that Manuel was actually talking about Danica because the scriptwriter that Manuel
described seemed to be a smart and great woman, far from the Danica that he knew.

only married him for money, food, and clothing.
