Chapter 28: Truly Let Him Go?

Oliver, Theo's assistant, saw how his boss's face changed.

Theo seemed shocked, confused, and uneasy, so Oliver tried to express his opinion.

"I also didn't expect Mrs.Dalton could..."

Oliver stopped and rephrased his words.

"I mean, I really didn't expect Miss Danica to be the scriptwriter named Wisteria.If you don't want to
work with her, sir, I'll contact Director Shaw right away"

Oliver had been with Theo for many years, so he knew about their relationship.

He also knew how Theo hated Danica, making him assume that Theo didn't want to work with her.

Although Oliver felt that Danica was much easier to get along with than Venice, outsiders like him didn't
have the right to say his opinion.He knew his place as just his personal assistant.

"No need” Theo said, making Oliver feel surprised.

Oliver didn't know what to say, so he just stood there and looked at Theo.

He was puzzled because he thought that his boss didn't want to see Danica at all.

Now that Danica was the scriptwriter of the new drama that Theo invested in, there was a big possibility
that the two would meet often, and even talk about work.

"Since Director Shaw recommended her, it means he trusted her capability, so we have to trust her as
well.Besides, business is a serious thing, and I don't want to mix personal matters with business” Theo
explained when he saw Oliver's confused expression.



No matter what happened between him and Danica, Theo wouldn't fire her just because he hated her,
or he had issues with her.

He was professional, and he knew how to set aside his personal matters from his business.

"Okay, sir, I understand.

Oliver nodded after Theo made it clear to him.

Then he asked, "Tomorrow is the first meeting for this TV series project.Do you want to attend to it?"

"Yes” Theo answered while looking at the documents on his table.

He seemed to have already recovered from the shock he felt a while ago because he went back to
work.

Oliver just nodded and left the room.

As soon as Oliver was gone, a different emotion flashed across Theo's eyes.

He wanted to see Danica's capabilities and the script proposal she would present to the meeting.

The way Manuel described Danica, Theo couldn't help but get curious and see it for himself.

Theo stared blankly at first then went back to work.

Just as he was about to start, Venice called.

"Theo, it's been a while since we saw each other.Why aren't you seeing me anymore?"

Venice softly complained soon as he answered the call.

Theo couldn't help but pinch his forehead out of frustration.



"I've been busy with work recently,'' he said casually.

"Okay.Do you have any plan for tomorrow?" Venice asked.

"There will be a meeting for a new TV series project, and I'm going to attend it," Theo replied honestly.

"New TV series project?" Venice exclaimed happily.

"That's great.I'll go with you.Although I'm not acting anymore, I'm still very interested in these things’’
Venice added with excitement how Theo didn't know how to react, so he just remained silent for a
moment.

He suddenly remembered how Venice loved her acting career, but he couldn't understand why she
decided to stop.

"Venice, if you still want to continue acting, then do it, '' he seriously said.

Theo never told Venice to stop acting and leave the entertainment industry.She just suddenly told him
that she was tired of it and so she decided to quit.

But she always showed a regretful face for leaving the entertainment industry for him, which he wasn't
touched at all.

Instead, he felt very annoyed.

Venice was too eager to end their relationship before just to prove him that she was capable of entering
the entertainment industry.

But when she had it, she decided to quit.



What made Theo really annoyed was Venice's impulsivity.She always made decisions based on
whatever she wanted to.She ended their relationship before just to achieve her dreams, and now she
ended her acting career just because she wanted to.

And it was Venice's selfishness that made everything between them change.

Venice got choked by what Theo said, but she quickly changed the topic with a bright smile.

"Hey, just tell me if you want to take me or not.A hint of annoyance flashed across Theo's eyes when
he heard this.

‘Since when did Venice become suspicious of my affairs? He wasn't a fool not to know why Venice
wanted to go with him.Now that Thalia knew Danica was back, Venice must have known as well.

Theo suspected that she only wanted to accompany him because she wanted to find out if he still was
in contact with Danica.

Venice was probably insisting on going with him tomorrow to see Danica’s move, or to see if there was
anything between him and his ex-wife.

"Okay” Theo still agreed even though he was aware of Venice's hidden motive.

He also wanted to bring her to see Danica's reaction.

It would be the perfect time to see if Danica had really moved on from him.
