Chapter 39: Who Do You Think You Are

After half an hour, Danica arrived at the Dalton family's company.

After all, Theo was the investor.

Sometimes, just how you respect God was how you should respect the investor as well.

Danica took the elevator and went to the second floor.

She was well acquainted with this place since she often brought lunch to Theo before.

She had a horrific experience shortly after she married Theo due to his recurring stomach disease and
was rushed to the hospital in the middle of the night.

She started doing everything she could to assist in Theo's recovery.

She prepared three meals a day and she never missed a meal on the list that was given by the
dietician.

Danica took a deep breath and knocked on the door of Theo's office.

Theo sat in front of his desk.

Danica felt like she was going to faint after glancing at him.

It was all because Theo was wearing a light gray shirt and a black necktie.

Although it was a mere coincidence, she felt like they were matching clothes.

Before going to Theo's company, Danica changed into a formal outfit.

She wore a light gray hemp dress with a black blazer.



She even applied a small layer of make-up on her face.

Since they were discussing work that night, she wanted to present herself in a formal way to avoid
Theo picking on her again.

Who would have guessed that Theo was also wearing gray and black today? Theo had obviously
noticed this as well.

"You look good today, he said, smiling and staring at her.Danica clenched her teeth.He was teasing
her, she could tell.

But now, she had no choice but to disregard Theo's teasing.

She greeted him politely, "President Dalton"

Theo withdrew his gaze from her and motioned for her to join him at the long table next to him.

"Please have a seat” he said.

Danica walked over and sat down calmly.

She then grabbed her laptop out of her bag and switched it on.

Theo stood up and walked over to bring two cups of coffee.

Danica expressed her gratitude by raising her hand to accept it even though she had no idea what was
going on with Theo.

However, the coffee cup he was holding suddenly tilted, spilling some of the coffee on Danica's chest.

Danica was startled and stood up quickly.



‘Do these siblings have a grudge against me?’ she thought.

Thalia had splashed her with coffee a few days ago.

Now, Theo spilled coffee on her.

"I'm sorry” Theo said, surprised that the coffee had spilled.

He immediately put down the cup in his hand and pulled out a tissue to assist Danica in wiping it away.

Danica was surprised by this action.

Theo was about to put his hand away after handing the tissue to Danica when suddenly the office door
opened with a loud bang, and Venice hurried in.

Venice felt relieved as she followed Theo back to the company.

He really had a lot of work to do, so she wouldn't mind if he left her behind.

Who knew that she would see Danica coming out of the cab as she drove out of the basement? She
did not care about her image in front of Theo anymore.

After parking her car, she immediately followed her.

"What the hell are you doing?"

From Venice's point of view, Theo seemed to be taking off Danica’s blazer.

She got furious and acted crazy right away.She pointed at Danica and started cursing.

"Danica, are you a bitch?"



"Now you've come to seduce Theo without shame? Who do you think you are?!"

Venice was still unsatisfied after cursing at Danica.

So, she dashed over in her high heels and raised her hand to slap Danica in the face.
