Chapter 30: With Elite Men Around

Manuel knew the reason, but he didn't tell Theo about it, and he actually did it on purpose.He wanted to
see how Theo would react, and if he would even care for his ex-wife.

Theo just stared at Manuel deeply after the latter answered his question.

He didn't believe that Manuel didn't know what happened to Danica, so he observed his moves.

Theo believed that as Danica's boss, it was impossible for Manuel not to know what happened to his
employee.

Manuel wouldn't have told everyone about it in the first place if he really didn't know everything that
happened.

Theo knew Manuel was just lying.

'He knew the truth, but he purposely hid it from me!’ a part of his mind told him.

It wasn't only women who have great instincts, but men as well.Theo felt that Manuel had deep feelings
for Danica.It was very obvious by way he treated her.

Manuel was an important figure in the entertainment industry.

When he was young, he debuted as a singer.

Later, he became an actor.

From working on a TV series to a movie, he went all the way and became one of the best actors.

With the passage of time, he also became famous, and he already won all kinds of awards.



These years, Manuel stopped acting and started a business with his friends, which was now the Shaw
Stewarts Films.

When Manuel was still in his twenties, he had a girlfriend with whom he had open their relationship.

But later, because their personalities were not compatible, they broke up.

Over the years, there have been several rumors that Manuel had been dating other actresses in the
entertainment industry, but now he is already single.

Just recently, a young actor named Kris, who had just turned twenty years old, seemed to be interested
in Danica.

Then this time, a forty-year-old former great actor, Manuel, who was Danica's boss, seemed to be
interested in her as well.

The way Danica wrote a story was indeed very touching.Her ideas were very impressive and

They were married for three years, but he didn't even know she was this talented.

After the meeting, Theo immediately went to Manuel's office, completely forgetting that he still had
Venice with him.

He just stood up quickly and left her on the spot where they were seated.

His mind was only filled with everything about Danica.

Venice was left hanging in the conference room by Theo.



She was smiling to everyone, but deep inside, she was burning with anger.

As soon as Theo entered Manuel's office, he got straight to the point and asked, "What happened to
her?"

trying to piss Theo off.

"I thought you came here to discuss the script with me, Mr.Dalton? '' he said after a little while.

This time, Theo had totally lost his patience.

meantime because the story got his attention.

Now that the meeting was over, and Manuel still didn’t answer him, he couldn't hold his patience
anymore.

"What do you think you're doing, Manuel?"

Thea frankly asked him, and his eyes were now piercing through him.

Manuel just glanced at him, then took a pen, wrote a string of numbers on the paper and handed it to
him, "That's her phone number.You want to know what exactly happened to her, right? Then it's better if
you ask her personally, Mr.Dalton."



Based on Theo's expression, Manuel realized that Theo definitely didn't know that today was the
anniversary of Danica’s mother's death.

He was married to Danica for three years, but he didn't even know about such an important day in his
ex-wife's life.

It only proved how much of a jerk he was as a husband for neglecting his wife back then.

‘What a jerk!’ Manuel sneered silently.

‘You hurt Danica so much before, and now you're suddenly concerned about her? Huh! What
happened to you, Theo? Did you finally realized how worthy she was now?’ he thought disgustedly as
he looked at Theo.

‘Did you really think Danica would still care about your concern? Well then, good luck to you!’ Manuel
laughed sarcastically in his mind.
