The reserved private room was set on the sixty-seventh floor of this hotel.

As soon as she stepped out of the elevator, Sophia felt uneasy.

Because the entire hallway that led to the private room were bodyguards in black suits and dark
sunglasses, standing at regular intervals.

She suddenly understood a little about John's instructions and Patrick's hesitation when he helped her
save the dog.

leave me here.You can go back to the hotel"

her.

The bodyguards at the door opened it in a well-trained manner.

Chris, who was sitting at the head of the table, was smoking a cigarette.



The other Smith Group of Companies executives were seated at the table, and their expressions were

"One minute and seven seconds.President Evans, you're a bit late.Fortunately, I haven't finished

Chris' words sounded like he was giving in to his anger.

Patrick walked to one of them and pulled out the chair.He indicated that Sophia should sit first.

myself with wine and drink a glass every second that I am late.How about that?" Patrick offered.

Chris took a puff and exhaled the smoke slowly.

"Well, Mr.Evans, don't misunderstand me.It's better for me that you are late tonight rather than you
being drunk.Too much wine will hurt your body’

"I will be fine with several glasses of wine, don't worry about me.If I drink this wine, then please excuse
me for my being late"

As he spoke, Patrick picked up the wine glass in front of him and emptied it.

Chris was a person who could read another human being pretty accurately.He knew that Patrick's
actions were full of sincerity, so he smiled.

"Young people are always impulsive.If I were your age, I would never choose to hurt my body.Sit down"

Chris gave him a way out, so Patrick naturally had to back down.



"Mr.Smith is really broad-minded.I can't be compared to you"

Although Chris said he would spare Patrick, he told his subordinates to toast Patrick.

But unfortunately, after a round of drinking, Patrick had already drunk more than ten glasses of wine.

The social activities at the table seemed to be prepared for men.

They smoked and made polite remarks that others would have difficulty understanding.Their topics
ranged from domestic to foreign, and there was nothing they could not talk about.

Sophia took advantage of the bathroom break to buy hangover medicine.She handed it to Patrick
under the table.

Patrick's left hand was resting on the table, and his fingers were holding a cigarette.

She wanted to pull her hand back, but he didn't let her.

Sophia had bathed the puppy.It was still feeble, and it couldn't walk.

Sophia was pleased.She laid down on the bed and looked at the puppy.She would touch its soft fur and
pat its little nose.

It was a very magical thing to think that one word from her could determine the length of the dog's
life.She thought that since she had given it a new life, she had to give it a new name.

So, Sophia guessed that since she picked the puppy during heavy rain, she should call the puppy
"Typhoon."

"You will be called Typhoon in the future, understand?" Sophia touched its soft belly again.

Only then did she get into bed contentedly and close her eyes to sleep.She heard some movement
outside the door.She wanted to move and look, but she fell into a deep sleep in the next second.

The following day, Sophia woke up and saw Typhoon.The puppy had also just woken up and was
wagging its tail.

She patted its head and got up.She went to the bathroom and washed up.

Then, she readied herself to ask Patrick about his schedule for the day.

At eight o'clock, the hotel staff came in to clean up.Sophia did not go out.
