Chapter 340 Men’s Problem

Olive Steele sighed, “Sometimes, what women want is not your courage to put all your eggs in one
basket.”

“What does that mean?” Aoba Hoyle was puzzled. Didn’t woman like men to do anything for her?

“Think about it by yourself.” Olive Steele gave him a look and got up.

“Sister-in-law, you can’t leave me hanging—”

Olive Steele acted like she didn’t hear it. When she walked out of the cubicle, someone approached
and called out, “Olive.”

The voice sounded cautious.

Olive Steele turned around and saw Xenia Boswell standing behind her. She smiled, “Would you fancy
a drink with me?”

Xenia Boswell nodded.

They went to the bar. The bartender handed them two glasses of brandy.

Olive Steele complained to the bartender, “This is not what I want. You can’t pretend you don’t know
me because I haven’t come for a while.”

The bartender honestly replied, “Mr. Hoyle told me if Olive Steele wanted to drink, she could only drink
brandy. Strong alcohol will hurt your body.”

Olive Steele was left speechless.

Xenia Boswell looked at her enviously, “Mr. Hoyle is really good to you.”



“Is it bad?” Olive Steele laughed.

Xenia Boswell dropped her eyes, “I don’t know. Dave always pushes me to do things I don’t like. I
should have hated him. If it weren’t for him, Ivy Aldington and I were a possible couple. However, he
ruins all my hope. I ran back to Hainan to hide from him, but when I saw him chasing me all the way, I
didn’t know what happen, I just followed him back.”

Olive Steele patted her hand, “Listen Silly Girl, you’re in love with him.”

Xenia Boswell didn’t know it yet.

“Really?” she said blankly and suspiciously, “I thought I liked Ivy Aldington.”

“We can’t say feelings for certain. Sometimes, you think you like someone, but may be it is just an
illusion. You may need some time to know the one you really love in your heart.” Olive Steele smiled
and sipped her brandy which tasted like loquat.

“You know what, Olive, from the moment I met you in Hainan, I knew that Ivy fancied you in his heart.
He looked at you differently. In order to be with him, after I eavesdropped on your story, I couldn’t wait
to go back to Jiang City and tell Mr. Hoyle about it. At that time, I thought that when you were with Mr.
Hoyle, you would stop thinking about Ivy and I finally would have my chance to get closer to him. But,
why am I entangled with Dave Chou now?”

Olive Steele was enlightened. It turned out to be like this. Now, she knew the reason Alan Hoyle
suddenly went back and forth and shut her up with his evidence.

Xenia Boswell took a big gulp of her bitter brandy and continued, “I think if it wasn’t for me, Ivy wouldn’t
lose you. If your relationship with Mr. Hoyle fails, maybe you will have another chance, but now I cannot
hold back my feelings for Ivy and I make him lose you. Do you think I’m a bad person?”



“It’s all in your head, xenia. I like Ivy as a friend, nothing more. Even without you or Alan, it’s impossible
for me to be together with him.”

“Why? Ivy is such a good person. Olive, in the past few years when Mr. Hoyle was away, did you ever
like Ivy at all?” Xenia Boswell looked at her with piercing eyes.

Olive Steele shook her head. Just because Ivy was a good man, it didn’t mean that she would
automatically fell in love with him, “Just because I have a heart, doesn’t mean that I will have feelings
for him. I think it has something to do with fate.”

“But, Olive, Ivy likes you very much. I know I can’t see how sad he is, but I can feel it. After meeting you
in the restaurant that day, he locked himself up and ignored everybody. Even Dave Chou was kicked
out. If they know that you come along today, Dave Chou will probably take him out somewhere.”

Olive Steele sighed, “It will be fine after a while.”

She was unable to respond to his feelings, this way she had no position to comfort him. She could only
comfort herself. Ivy Aldington was a grown up. He had his own reason. Sentiment was temporary. It
was not forever.

Xenia Boswell talked a lot, about Ivy Aldington, Dave Chou, and about her won confusion. The more
she drank, the more she talked. Even until she lied in the bar, she was still whispering, “Olive, I hate
Dave Chou so much, but why can’t I let him go? Do you think I’m a cheap woman?”

Olive Steele realized that the night was getting late. Aoba Hoyle and Chloe Malan had disappeared.
They didn’t even say goodbye when they left.

“Can you watch her for me? I’ll go looking for Dave.” she said to the bartender and left.



Xenia Boswell was probably bored. So, she needed someone to talk to. Dave Chou, that bold guy,
must have really liked her. He knew women’s heart pretty well. He must have known that he should
approach her gently.

At the door, she hesitated thinking of what Xenia Boswell said just now. She felt more and more
uncomfortable to face the man inside the private longue. aShe always felt like she owed him
something.

If you owed a favor, you could always pay it back. But, what if you owe a feeling?
