Chapter 439: Nonsense in Broad Daylight

“When will that be?”

“Soon. Trust dad.”

Chloe and Olive’s parents were sitting at the back and couldn’t help but asked, “Olive, are you really
going to Jiangcheng with Alan?”

Olive laughed, “Yes. Why not?”

“You’re looking for a suffering. Alan, being filial is important, I can’t stop you from going back to see
your father. Until you haven’t dealt with your mother, can you not pull in Olive and the child? They’ve
suffered enough for you and they need to go to your house to be humiliated?” Chloe sounded a little
emotion when she was saying this.

Alan said, “I think you should go with Aoba to witness something together.”

“What do you mean?” Chloe didn’t react for a short while.

Olive’s parents also looked at him nervously.

Aoba didn’t answer her, “You’re done?”

Ada said, “Almost. I could leave the rest to other people.”

“How about a drink with me?”

“Sure. I haven’t had a good drink for a long time too. You’ll pay the bill.”

Aoba gave her a look, “Don’t tell anyone that you’re my older sister.”

“Older sister is also a woman, ‘kay? Women naturally can ask men to pay. Unless…” Ada chuckled,
“Unless you’re not a man.”

Aoba turned green and raised his fist, “Ada Hoyle, you’re looking for a beating, aren’t you?”



“A good man won’t beat a woman casually.” Ada had already run so far. She wasn’t that stupid to beat
at each other. Although he won’t beat her, she couldn’t let him threaten her either. “Unless you don’t
want to be a good man.”

This was the season of love. There were couples around and only she was still alone. She felt

Sleeping in the twilight, a bar at the street gradually awakened during the day. Seductive women and
glamorous men could always find conversation in the shortest time in such night. This was the place
where one night stand was most likely to occur.

The nightlife used to be a crucial part of Aoba Hoyle’s life. However, recalling that period of time in Luo
City, apart from because Chloe had set foot in his place, he had no more memory of his drunken days.

In the Waitting Bar, the bartended saw him coming in with an unfamiliar woman noisily and couldn’t
help but be surprised. Everybody knew that the Hoyle’s third young master was persistent in pursuing
Chloe Malan. But how long had passed since then? And he already had another woman? How could
Chloe endured of this?

However, even if he was cheating, he shouldn’t come to Chloe’s territory. The bartender was a little
confused and he looked at the woman twice. Then she reminded him that this woman had struck up a
conversation with him a few days ago.



There were so many people coming and going out the bar every day. The reason why he still
remembered this face was because the woman had asked about Chloe.

“Mr. Hoyle, why are you here? Chloe doesn’t play tonight,” he said it deliberately that meant to remind
the woman on Mr. Hoyle’s side that he was a man with strong reputation and not give her any idea.

Aoba said, “I know. Give me a few glasses of your newly launched.”

Picking a relatively hidden location, Ada glanced around. “This bar’s business is pretty good. It’s
already overcrowded when it’s not peak time. But brother, although I don’t mean to discriminate, I still
have to remind you that Chloe’s profession makes mom more difficult to accept than the fact that she’s
three years older than you and is divorced.”

Aoba smiled lightly and didn’t care. “Profession doesn’t distinguish high or low. Chloe can live by
herself by her own ability, so why not? I think that this can be not only her career, but her business too.
And I’ll be her agent.”

“Aren’t you adding fuel to the fire? Mom has already have a complaint about Chloe, but you continued
to play around. Plus, your Chloe is too aggressive. I think your road with her will be hard and

back like Olive. I’m afraid you’re having an unrequited love. She? She has already seen though the

“Shut your mouth,” Aoba yelled. He didn’t surprise Ada, but the waiter who brought the alcohol.

“Mr. Hoyle, your drinks.”

After the waiter left, Ada pursed her mouth and smiled depressingly, “Look at how anxious you are.
Don’t let me guess that your trial period hasn’t passed.”



“So what if I fail? Chloe is destined to be Aoba Hoyle’s woman anyway. The fate stone is engraved with
the marriage of three lifetimes. I’ll chase her if she runs, that simple.”

Aoba paused, then pretending to be mysterious, “Do you want to know a secret?”

“What?” Ada asked curiously.

Aoba curled up his finger at her. Ada leaned her ear closer and when she finished listening to him, she
showed a surprised expression. “Seriously? Wow, she really…”

“Can I still joke with you about such serious matter?” Aoba intercepted the second half so that each
other’s hearts felt bright.

Ada suddenly had a sense of realization, “I understand. I wonder why you’re so confident. It turns out
that you have such trick since long ago. You brothers are really calm.”

“I’m not calm, not enough to deal with big things. This is taught personally by brother. You have to learn
a little bit. It’s really embarrassing for others to know that you’re my sister.” Aoba drank, unrestrained
from attacking his own sister.

“You brat, are you looking for death?” Ada raised a fist and wanted to pounce over.

“Drink. What fighting? You haven’t had a drink and you’re already acting drunk,” Aoba easily parried.

The two drank all night and went home drunk. His phone was quiet all night and there wasn’t even a
text message.

He knew that she wasn’t the kind of woman who would take the initiative to look for him if nothing
happened. She didn’t have the kind of self-consciousness as a girlfriend, but he still felt disappointed.



He put his drunk and unconscious older sister on the bed. This woman luckily had pretty good drunken
behavior, unlike how crazy she was when she was sober.

He took a cold shower in the bathroom. He was pretty sober, but still a little drunk that somehow he
went out and had climbed to the roof.

The sound of the night breeze could be heard her. it felt refreshing, blowing against his skin. He called
the woman downstairs. Her drowsy voice had a little hint of upset because of being disturbed.

“It’s the middle of the night. Who is it?”

What a heartless woman. He had an insomnia, yet she heartlessly slept peacefully.

“I miss you, Chloe.”

“You’re insane. Let me sleep.”

“I’m on the roof. Do you want to accompany me watching this city’s night view?”

“What’s so pretty? Watch it by yourself.”

This was just an ordinary high-rise residential area in Luo City and you couldn’t look too far. You could
only see the neon flashing in the night of a few nearby streets.

“It’s tasteless to watch it alone. It’s better to have someone accompanying. I’ll be waiting, Chloe. See
ya.”

“Hey…” Before she could speak, he ended the call and then turned his phone off.

When Ada woke up, she couldn’t find Aoba in his apartment. She also couldn’t reach his phone. She
thought that this kid was usually a slacker who could sleep until it was late morning. But he was pretty



diligent now.

She went to the Steele’s place to find him, but he wasn’t there.

Mrs. Steele warmly greeted her to have breakfast together. She muttered, “Where did this kid go early
in the morning?”

Turning her gaze to Chloe, Chloe shrugged with a clueless expression. But suddenly, she seemed to
have thought of a place. He couldn’t be…

She hurriedly took a few mouthfuls of porridge, then put aside her bowl. “I’ll go out for a second.”

“Where?” Olive asked.

“I’ll be back soon.” Her voice was heard from outside.

She climbed up to the roof. Who could it be if it wasn’t him who was lying in the middle of the empty
floor? He really had stayed on the roof for the whole night. Chloe felt upset and funny at the same time.

She walked over and kicked him. “Hey, you’re not death, are you? Wake up.”

Aoba also didn’t know how he fell asleep, only knew about the phone call with her. Then his phone had
no more battery and it was complete dark.

He also didn’t know how long he had waited until the alcohol regained his sanity and then completely
fell asleep.

With alcohol in his system, he had a deep slumber.

It was just that when she appeared at the entrance, he was already awake. He closed his eyes and
quietly said, “Will you be sad if I die?”



“What kind of nonsense you’re saying in broad daylight?” Chloe rolled her eyes, bending and reaching
