Chapter 375 Shameless People

When Alan Hoyle woke up in the morning, the woman in his arms had already woken up. He felt the
cold bedside, it seemed that she didn’t wake him up.

He found her in the kitchen standing in front of the stove cooking a pot of porridge. She was talking to

“Does his mother still refuse to accept you?” asked Mrs. Steele.

Although it seemed impossible, she believed that the day would come.

think this porridge you make will win her over.” Mrs. Steele said sadly.

Olive Steele smiled, “It doesn’t matter. I know a bowl of soup and porridge won’t touch her. Even
though she has a heart made of stone, I cannot bear a grudge against her. Alan is so kind to me, I
cannot hate his mother.”

“Alan is one hundred percent sincere to you.” Mrs. Steele was satisfied with Alan Hoyle, but there was

“I just want you to be happy, Olive.” Mrs. Steele stroked her daughter’s back. She could only swallowed
what she wanted to say next, “I’ll go fetch Annie.”

“Okay.”

When Mrs. Steele turned around, she saw Alan Hoyle at the door. She sighed, patted his shoulder, and
went out.

It was so quiet in the kitchen, he must have heard what they were talking about just now.

Olive Steele was still busy preparing the breakfast. She was completely unaware of what was
happening.

Alan Hoyle hugged her from the back, “What are you cooking? You haven’t been listening to me these
past two days.”

“My body aches after sleeping for a long time. Besides, my wounds are bandages. It’s just a scratch.
Don’t make a fuss about it. I’m not a weakling.” Olive Steele was indeed not fragile.

Early in the morning, when he arrived at the door, he heard an argument between his mother and Aoba
Hoyle.

“You’re hopeless, don’t you know that? What’s so good about Chloe? Why does it have to be her? She
doesn’t even have a proper career. She is vulgar. Do you want to let your mother suffer?”

“Mom, no one wants to suffer, you bring it on yourself. Why do you always have prejudice against
people? You make me feel that your son’s happiness is nothing but money.”

It was so spot on that Alan Hoyle couldn’t help cheering for his younger brother. He didn’t intend to put
out the heat either.

His mother was sitting in the sickbed with a cold face, “You come just in time. Look at your brother.
Now, Aoba is following your steps.”

Was it bad pursuing who you genuinely love? What was wrong with it? It’s just that the woman he was
pursuing was not up to her standard, it didn’t mean that the chase was bad at all.

If it was bad, then what’s good left in life?

Alan Hoyle put the hot meal box in his hand on the table, “Olive made you porridge and chicken soup.
She’s afraid that you’re not used to things in the hospital.”

“Don’t expect me to fall for her fake kindness. Get rid of it.” she was so angry with these unfilially sons
of hers. What’s so good about those women they were after?

The attending doctor opened the lid and an appetizing fragrance filled the room.



“Ma’am, this porridge and soup look appetizing. It’s just right for you. Your daughter-in-law is so
considerate. Yesterday, the bridge was blocked for hours because of the accident. You were in a coma.
She carried you all the way to the hospital. Her feet were hurt, but she managed to snatch out of from
death. I bet my daughter-in-law will not be able to do the same for me. Her body is so delicate. If
anything, you better not mess with your daughter-in-law. Your son is blessed to have such a good wife.”

Mrs. Hoyle found it hard to believe it.

Alan Hoyle put the porridge and the soup in front of her, “Try it. If you don’t like it, I’ll throw it away and
make sure, I don’t send you another meal in the future. Olive is not a pleaser. She did what had to be
done.”

Just then, his phone rang. He picked it up and said, “706.”

Soon, someone knocked and entered the door. It was a middle aged woman. She looked gentle and
dignified, “Mr. Hoyle.”

Alan Hoyle gave a faint nod and said to his mother, “This is the personal doctor I hired for you. She will
take care of you 24/7.”

It was a filial piety, but Mrs. Hoyle interpreted it as something else, “Do you want to monitor and control
me?”

Alan Hoyle said, “If you want to see it this way, go ahead, I cannot do anything about it. However, thank
you for reminding me to pay Dr. Gu more than I should do.”

When the two brothers left the hospital, the road was crowded.

Aoba Hoyle looked at the flying birds in the sky and couldn’t help retorting, “Mom is getting more and
more unreasonable recently.”



“Don’t worry. She’s just not ready to lost two sons at the same time.” Alan Hoyle smiled and asked,
“How are you doing?”

Aoba Hoyle buckled his head with his backhand and leaned against the seat of the car, “It’s so hard to
understand woman.”

“You look certain though.” Alan Hoyle glanced at him.

“She’s not like your sister-in-law. She’s a divorced woman. She’s wounded and sensitive toward mother
and daughter-in-law relationship. She also has some concern about your past. To be honest, now I feel
that your past is absurd." Alan Hoyle added.

“Brother, you’re still fluent in sarcastic clap back.” Aoba Hoyle grunted, “You should be worried about
yourself. I heard your former fiancé called mom. It seems that she’ll come to the hospital. It’s going to
cause you another headache. It’s not like you don’t know that she is mom’s favorite.”

Alan Hoyle’s eyes suddenly sank, “How dare she come?”

“Shameless people will not admit defeat so easily. Moreover, mother is rooting for her, right? I don’t
know what mom is thinking, but I know that she has done a lot of bad deeds. I still love her though.”
Aoba Hoyle said sarcastically.
