“Don’t forget that evidence can be faked.” Dave reminded him.

Dave leaned back on the car seat, put his hand behind his head, and rested his head, “To be honest, I

laughed at him.

her dissatisfaction with your lust.” Ivy winked at him, making a rare ambiguous joke.

“That silly girl, so she has been telling you about this. She’ll see how I deal with her when she comes
back.” The pleasure of their intimate moment, she is a lady, how could she easily speak of it with other
men? It really irritated him.

Ivy looked that his expression was getting bad and found it more ridiculous, “Why? Are you easily
jealous? If you’re jealous, you may not be drowned in your jealousy.”

“I’ve given up my jealousy. I’m more curious about you. You still haven’t moved on until now?” In his
mind, his little brother had a lot of encounters with women, but he had always kept his hands clean.

became more composed and had lost interest in other women.

There’s a word called ‘empathy’ which is actually deceiving people. If it weren’t for personal

When they went past a flower shop, Ivy got off the car, went into the shop, and picked a bunch of white
lilies.

When they arrive at the Steele’s, the band of four was playing for Annie in the living room. The fine
guitar sound covered the whole room. Annie naturally danced to the rhythm and Alan was beating to
the rhythm on the side.

Olive heard the doorbell and went to open the door. As she opened the door, a bunch of white lilies
appeared before her eyes and went into her arms. A faint delicate fragrance soon came into her nose.

Before she had the time to greet both the men at the door, Alan leaned his head on her shoulder,
“Wifey, your friends are really earnest. Lily means a wish for us to live a long and happy life together.
Thanks, Mr. Davis. Please come in.”

He’s showing a manner as the host by inviting the guests into the house.



Olive lightly rolled her eyes silently. Sometimes, male species are pettier than females. You couldn’t
accuse a mature man of behaving childishly once in a while.

When Ivy and Dave went to the living room, she poked his waist lightly to remind him not to cross the
line.

He turned his head and smiled sweetly at her, then took the lilies in her arms, “My wife, these flowers
are pretty. I’ll find a vase for you to put them in. You can’t waste your friends’ sincerity.”

Dave quietly bumped into Ivy, leaning close to his ear, before saying, “I’ve told you to choose the roses
but you didn’t. If you chose for the roses, you would be the one irritating him, not otherwise. If you don’t
listen to the old man, you will only suffer.”

Ivy didn’t care and laughed it off, he just didn’t put Olive in an awkward situation.

When Mr. and Mrs. Steele saw Ivy and Dave, they became very happy. Both of them enjoyed having
guests. Olive had always liked to invite friends to come over to her house since she was young. Both of
the elders were never bored with it and always served the guests warmly.

“Ivy, I haven’t seen you a lot lately.”

Ivy smiled, “I’ve been a bit busy lately.”

Being busy is always the best excuse. As for the reason for being busy, nobody would ask about it, and
nobody would have the intention to ask about it.

Before Alan appeared, everybody wished that he and Olive could be a couple. There were also several
secret efforts of bringing them together. But after Alan appeared and even married Olive, nowadays,
the harmonious family became awkward about several things.

“Well, Dave, where’s Xenia? Why doesn’t she come along?” Mrs. Steele started a conversation.



Dave groaned and fell on the sofa, “She is someone carefree, leaving me all alone, and went abroad
for vacation.”

“Do you miss her?” Mrs. Wen smiled shadily like a young woman and made two cups of tea.

“I do miss her a bit.” Dave naturally admitted. He didn’t expect that he would get used to someone so
quickly.

“Then, why don’t you go with her?” Olive interrupted them.

“She blamed me for caring too much of her. She wanted some freedom. So, I let her fly away like a
bird.”

As he mentioned this, Dave became gloomy. How could he be caring too much of her? She always
does what she wants and what she loves. Aside from driving away all those men around her, he hardly
interfered with her hobbies and freedom.

Women are sentimental species that are hard to serve. Didn’t he care about her because of his
excitement? In the end, it became his fault.

“Don’t you afraid that your little lady wouldn’t fly back?” Mr. Steele rarely joked.

Dave touched his chin out of habit, “Then I will grab her back and make her a golden cage.”

“Big Beard, are you planning to make a magnificent house for your beloved woman?” Annie blinked at
him, with her cute voice, making everyone in the room laughed.

Olive was speechless. All men had the same moral character and there were domineering traits hidden
in their bodies, that would be released if they’re careless.



Mrs. Steele waved her hand, “Well, you young people can continue your chat. We’re elders that can’t
keep up with the times anymore. I should be busy in the kitchen.”

Alan, who had finished arranging the flower, said, “Mom, I’ll help you.”

At the same time, Ivy also stood up from his seat, “Auntie, I’ll help you.”

Both the men spoke in unison, causing the atmosphere in the living room to become dumbfounded in
an instant.

Chloe slapped on Aoba’s back, “You need to learn from them. You only came to eat when the food is
ready every time. It’s just shameful.”

“Woman, you should take it easy. Do you plan to kill your husband?” Aoba grimaced because of the
sudden pain. How could a woman set on something tactlessly? It’s not woman-like at all, “I’m not as
bad as what you said. It was Godmother who didn’t want me to help.”

Chloe was about to strike again and was intercepted by him, but didn’t stop her rants, “She is my
Godmother, not yours. Don’t claim her as you like.”

“She will be in the future. So, I’m practicing the pronunciation starting now.” Aoba flattered with a smile.

“Are you in kindergarten? Why don’t you go to school with Annie for a few days and learn how to
pronounce ABC from the teacher?” Chloe snorted.

Annie clapped her hands and laughed, “Okay. Uncle, you can go to kindergarten with me tomorrow.”

Aoba glared at the little girl and squeezed her small cheeks, “You little thing who were only dying to
cause troubles.”
