herself. She would handle the termination of Yvonne's contract with Ingenuity Entertainment, as she

After sending the message, Genevieve picked up the iced cola and handed it to Armand's lips. Leaning
close to him, she whispered softly, “Don't worry, someone is taking care of Yvonne's matter. I won't ask
Zander for help.” “Even if no one else is available, you can always come to me.” Armand glanced at her, “Am I not as
good as anyone else?”

apples and picked up the fruit knife, starting to peel from the top of the apple skin.
Andie said, “Isn't there a plate of sliced fruits?”
Genevieve didn't even look up as she said, “Since you claim I'm 'strict with my husband,' of course the
fruit I peel for him will be sweeter.”
“I remember Genevieve being quite quiet when she was in school, but who would have thought... she's
so sweet-talking now!” an old classmate joked. “If I had a wife like you, I'd have to obediently go home
by nine pm every night.”
Genevieve said, “Well, you've missed your chance, since I'm one of a kind and already married.”
Armand remained silent, but his eyes were filled with gentle laughter.
Zander glanced at Genevieve and suddenly said, “I've heard that if you can peel an apple without
breaking the skin, and it comes off in one continuous strip, the person who eats the apple will be
blessed with peace and safety.”
“Really?” Although the statement seemed superstitious, Genevieve believed it and slowed down her
peeling motion. Genevieve rarely steps into the kitchen; even when it comes to eating fruits, it's either the housekeeper
or Armand who prepares them for her.
This is one of the few times she has peeled apples for others to eat.
Due to a lack of skill, the clumsy handling of the sharp knife accidentally resulted in a cut on the thumb,
causing beads of blood to immediately well up.
Zander was the first to spot it, pulling a Gucci handkerchief from his pocket.
However, before he could hand over the handkerchief, Armand from the side grabbed Genevieve's
hand and took the wet towel from the small table to wipe the blood off her fingers.
Armand removed the bloodstained towel, and upon seeing that her small wound had stopped bleeding,
his tense heart finally settled down.
And Zander quietly took back the handkerchief.
