He refused to waste his time wallowing in sorrow. Instead, he would work hard so he could catch
Xavier as quickly as possible and avenge Jane.

“Okay,” replied Genevieve. She nodded, then reminded, “Don’t drink too much.”



It was past eleven when Genevieve got home. The second she walked into the house, she smelled the
alluring scent of grilled chicken. She also saw Bruce, who was donning a black sweater, sitting in the
living room and watching television

you knitting a sweater?”

“A scarf, actually,” replicd Bruce. He picked up his half-knitted scarf and draped it over her neck

to measure the length. “What pattern would you like in your scarf?”

you can knit.”
