Unfazed by Cooper’s attempt at asserting dominance, Bruce replied in a deep voice, “Ms. Rachford
isn‘t feeling well, so I made her some breakfast.”

“No need! I already bought her breakfası!” Cooper said in displeasure and tried to shut the door, but

“What are you doing here?” she asked.

“I was free after completing my morning run, so I figured I’d bring you some homemade meatballs. I
just wanted to thank you for getting me that film and the eight-figure payment, that’s all.” Bruce replied
calmly.

Hmph! Does he take me for a fool or something?

Cooper sneered in disdain at the thought of that. “If you truly want to thank her, then give the film your
best and stay away from her! There’s no need for you to bring her breakfast!”

Genevieve breathed a sigh of relief when she heard the excuse Bruce came up with. “Stop it, Coop.
He’s just being nice.”



Since she didn’t find the pie very appetizing, she stepped forward and took the food jar over from him.

“All right, you head on inside. I’ll walk him out of here!” Fearing that Bruce would refuse to leave,
Cooper closed the door and personally escorted him to the elevator.
