“When you were giving me the silent treatment, I was the first to give in and called to apologize.

Jerry brushed aside the hand she had placed on his knee for support. Instantly, Charlotte's body
swayed, but she took this opportunity to straddle his thigh. Then, she gently cupped his face and kissed
him tenderly.

Jerry turned his face to the side, dodging her kiss.

Jerry stayed silent and didn't even make eye contact with Charlotte.

Jerry continued, “I know what kind of person you are. Moreover, it's not like I'm the only one who saw
what you just did.”

“What kind of person do you think I am, and what have I done?” Charlotte was completely furious, and
she glared at the man. “I never questioned your past relationships, so what gives you the right to
question mine? Do you think you're so pure? Are you untainted? If you're oh-so-pure, why are you
dating me? If you're so aloof and self-restrained, why do you still crave my body?”

Ever since she was little, Jiminy had never made her angry, and she had never treated any of her exes
this well. But now, she was coaxing Jerry and negotiating with others for all the things he wanted.

Charlotte felt she had let go of her pride and treated Jerry considerably well, but no matter how she
