it again. “When you receive the rest of the script, can you make a softcopy of it and send it to me?”

Bruce took a scat beside her. “Do you like this story very much?”

Grunting in acknowledgment, Genevieve waved the script in his face. “I’m certain that when this is
made into a movie, it will be a hit, and you’ll definitely win an international award for it! In fact, I’ll give
Mrs. Hossler a call tomorrow and tell her to invest thirty million more!”

Bruce was stumped for words when he thought about how far he had fallen from being a tycoon that
was worth hundreds of billions. It was one thing to masquerade as an actor, but now, he also had to act
in a homosexual film that Genevieve predicted would win him a prestigious award.

He didn’t need the money nor was interested in any awards. All he wanted was to stay by her side

in his current identity.

In the midst of Bruce taking a deep breath, Genevieve suggested enthusiastically, “Since we have
nothing better to do, why don’t you act out a part to show me?”

“Which part would you like to see?” Bruce was dying to spend more time with her.

Genevieve handed him the opened script and tapped her finger on the top. “This part where they are
drinking red wine and dancing. It struck a chord with me when I read it.”



The part she highlighted was short, and Bruce finished reading it in no time.

Subsequently, he picked out a bottle of red wine from the wine cabinet and poured two glasses after
decanting it. Bringing them over, he handed one to Genevieve. “I won’t be able to act the scene out
alone, so please indulge me, Ms. Rachford.”

Genevieve was stunned. “How am I to act with you? Don’t forget that I’m a woman.”

“Just pretend that you’re my partner.” After pondering for a fleeting moment, Bruce explained,
“Experiencing it personally is a lot more satisfying than watching someone else do it.”

Genevieve was taken in by his temptation. “In that case, let me try.”

Putting on some elegant-sounding classical music, Bruce finished his glass of wine and strode to the
center of the living room.

Even though he had yet to say a word, Genevieve felt that she had become his when she saw the flood

Bruce pulled her closer. “Since we have been reunited after such a long time, don’t you want to see
me?”

His words drove her to look up and lock gazes with him. When she saw the irrepressible adoration in
his abyss-like eyes, she felt as if she was intoxicated by it.

Lowering his head to close the gap between them further, Bruce’s breath blew across her lips.

Genevieve couldn’t help but gulp when she sensed him crossing the line even though they were just
acting out a scene.

Nonetheless, she neither resented it nor tried to resist.

In fact, she hoped that he would cross the line further.

Raising her head in reciprocation, their lips gently touched. Suddenly, a loud ring gave her a fright and
caused her to back off in reflex.

She then retracted her hand as she rushed to the couch to answer her phone. “Hello, Coop?”

“Rosa says that you’re not home yet.” Cooper asked knowingly, “Where are you so late at night? Have
you gone to see Bruce?”

After throwing Bruce a glance, Genevieve tried her best to maintain her calm. “No, I went to catch a
movie and have just finished. I’m heading home right now.”

“Are you driving? Do you want me to pick you up?”



“I am.”

They ended the call after a brief chat. When Genevieve saw Bruce approaching her, she couldn’t help
but remember that she felt the urge to kiss him just a moment ago.

*I’m going home.” With her head lowered to avoid making eye contact, Genevieve packed her things
and prepared to leave.

Just when she was changing into her shoes at the doorway, she realized she had fallen in love with the

“Just take them if you fancy them.” Bruce put the slippers into a bag and handed them to her.

After escorting her to the elevator, he murmured, “Ms. Rachford, good night.”
