Lucian peeled the garlic silently.

Soon, the delicious smell of steak wafted around the kitchen.

After Amanda ended her call with Jack, she scurried into the kitchen to help Lucian with the orange

Genevieve helped her take a shower and change her clothes before going back to the kitchen to
prepare the steaks.

When the steaks were ready, Genevieve plated them nicely and brought them to the living room.
“These are the steaks I prepared. Try a bite, Sweeties!”

Amanda tried to cut the steak into pieces but to no avail. “Mommy, I can’t cut the steak.”

“Huh? That’s impossible.” Genevieve thought Amanda was too weak to cut the steak, but when she
tried to cut the steak herself, she realized it was indeed too hard.

Thus, she cut her portion into pieces and gave the plate to Amanda.

Amanda immediately took a bite of the stcak. She chewed it several times and stopped abruptly as her
eyes widened.



“Delicious, right?” Genevieve asked cheerfully.
