turned to Armand and said, “Mister Busy, will you be free on Wednesday?”

Armand smiled, a soft look in his eyes. “I'll always be free wherever you want to go.”

“Yay!” Amanda cheered.

When Asel, who was drinking milk, saw Amanda cheering with her arms raised, she lifted her small
hand and waved too. Both girls were beaming.

to try it out.

Thus, he held the cigarette to her lips and gently guided her. “Hold the cigarette between your lips and
take in a breath. Then, inhale deeply so that you can bring that breath into your lungs.”

Genevieve lowered her head and leaned over to close her lips around the tip of the cigarette. She
failed on her first try, so she did it again and breathed in the smoke.

Alas, she choked on it. Her throat burned, and she kept coughing.

Armand took the glass on the table and fed her two sips before leaning over to lick the water droplets
off the corner of her lips. “I did tell you not to try, but you insisted. Now, you're feeling bad, aren't you?”

Exasperated, Armand said, “I have a meeting outstation tomorrow.”

As she circled her arms around the man's neck, she leaned into his arms. “I noticed that you were
feeling upset in the bedroom earlier. What happened?”

“It's nothing,” Armand muttered as he kissed the edge of Genevieve's ear.

Only when he breathed in her faint rose scent and felt the warmth of her body did Armand feel like he
really had her there with him.

He sighed. “I realized that I wasn't omnipotent and that there are many things I can't deal with.”
