Did Not Want To Go Back

Byron put his thoughts away and followed Lucian into the villa.

The moment he entered the door, he saw Estie sitting on the carpet in the living room, playing with
Lego blocks with single–hearted devotion. Next to her, there was a little boy who looked exactly like the
child who had opened the door for him.

They were obviously the twins.

Byron’s eyes were dim. He swept his gaze around the living room while trying not to look at the two
children.He did not see Rosalie‘s figure.

“Your daddy is here.” After coming in, Lucian went straight to Estie. His friendly attitude from before had
changed as he called her coldly.

Hearing these words, Estie stopped slowly and looked up at Byron who was standing not far away.

With just one look, she immediately withdrew her gaze reluctantly. She lowered her head to write in the
notebook.

The eyes of the remaining three in the living room were all on Estie.

Lucian and Nox were also unwilling to part with the little girl, but since her daddy was here, they had no
reason to let her stay.

Byron could guess what the little girl was going to write and frowned slightly. Not long after, Estie raised
the small notebook. [I don‘t want to go back yet.] It was actually not what he expected.



Byron frowned deeper, and his tone was also a little harsh. “Estie, you didn‘t even greet me, and you
ran away from home without authorization. Don‘t you think you should give me an explanation? This is
the second time this month. Why on earth did you run away from home?”

Estie looked at him stubbornly, then lowered her head to write in the notebook. (I like the beautiful lady
and this pair of brothers. I want to be friends with them!]

Reading her answer, a flash of mockery flashed through Byron‘s heart. He glanced at the two children
and said in a deep voice, “You like them, but have you ever asked if they like you? It‘s impolite for you
to come to someone else‘s house without permission.” Estie pursed her lips and looked at the two little
brothers beside her carefully.

She already knew that her suddenly running over to their house in the morning would disturb them.

She really liked them, though. Besides, Daddy would not allow her to play with them… Moreover, they
had all exchanged gifts. The brothers had also invited her to play Lego with them. They should like her
too, yes? Faced with her gaze that was seeking help, Nox could not help but feel his heart soften. He
put down the Lego block in his hand and said seriously, “She didn‘t disturb us! She even accompanied
us to build Lego blocks just now! We had a good time!”

Hearing Nox speak for her, Estie showed a smile on her face, turned her head, and looked at her
father.

Byron’s expression seemed a little complicated. Nox’s face sank slightly as he looked at his younger
brother, and he pulled him gently. Nox turned his head blankly and was looking at his brother‘s warning
gaze. He suddenly reacted.

Right! Although they like their little sister very much, they could not show it in front of this person!



Aware of this, Nox immediately closed his mouth and expressed his dissatisfaction only with his eyes.

The interaction between the two little guys was seen clearly by Byron. Byron did not know what they
were thinking but thought he had scared them. He frowned and remained silent for a moment. His face
eased slightly. Although these two were the children of that woman with another man, they were still
young. Even if he was dissatisfied, he should not show it in front of the children.

“Whatever the case, Estie‘s sudden arrival here early in the morning must have caused you trouble.
Thank you for playing with her,” Byron tried to speak plainly. The two little guys nodded coldly. The
living room fell into silence closely after that.

After a moment, Byron rubbed between his brows helplessly. “Where‘s your mommy?” Although he had
Estie, he was still not good with children…
