“Brother, did…” Nox looked at Estie beside them carefully and changed the address on his lips. “Did

Mister Byron really find me?”

Lucian nodded. “Mommy was so anxious just now that she wanted to take me and Estie along to go
look for you, but Mister Byron stopped her. He went searching on his own.”

Hearing this, Nox subconsciously glanced at Byron who was not far away. The emotions he felt in his
heart were a little complicated.

“Fortunately, Mister Byron found you in time.

Otherwise, Mommy would have really broken down crying.” Lucian thought of his mommy’s anxious
expression just now and felt a burst of self-blame in his heart.

It was precisely because of this that although the boy did not like his daddy, he still had to thank him.

Hearing that his mommy had almost cried just now, Nox looked wholly apologetic. “Didn’t I already
thank Mister Byron just now?”

He was not aware of the situation just now. His mommy had asked him to thank their daddy, so he just

indeed thank him properly…

Seeing his younger brother blaming himself, Lucian smiled at him comfortingly. “Mommy will also thank
him for you.”



After saying that, he looked in the adults’ direction with a frown. With complicated emotions, he said, ”
Also, Uncle Byron likely wants Mommy to thank him too.”

The boys looked at their mommy and daddy thoughtfully.

Estie was playing by herself happily.

Rosalie had no idea what the boys were thinking.

Seeing that it was getting late, she raised her voice and called the children back, “Are you guys done?
It’s getting late. Let’s go back first. You guys can play again tomorrow!”

The children obediently agreed and ran toward them.

Nox went straight to Rosalie.

hugged him into her arms, “what’s wrong?”

The boy replied dully, “Mommy, I’m sorry. I’ll be careful in the future. I’ll be good and stay by your side. I
won’t go anywhere!”

The children were having a good time just now. why was he suddenly saying all this?

see. Thank you, baby. Mommy will also protect you.”

Lucian added in a childlike voice, “I’ll also protect Brother!”



Rosalie smiled and wrapped the two boys into her arms.

To the side, Estie saw Lucian and Nox being held by Auntie while she could only stand there alone, she
could not help the disappointment on her face.

Byron also noticed this.

Seeing his daughter standing pitifully to the side, there was another feeling of strangeness in his heart.

He could understand that Rosalie was having some lingering fears because of what had happened just
now and that was why she was appeasing the boys like this.

He wondered how the woman would feel, however, if she knew that Estie was also her child and she
had neglected the girl several times.

The little girl looked at the two brothers enviously while holding onto her daddy’s hand obediently.

“It’s getting late. Let’s go back,” said Byron in a deep voice.

Hearing this, Rosalie came back to her senses, she slowly let go of the boys and got up as she led
them behind the man.
