That afternoon, Rosalie arrived at the cafe ahead of schedule and waited.

She saw Xander enter with an old man soon after.

The old man had gray hair and a thin body. He was dressed in a suit and looked 70 percent similar to
Xander.

Rosalie was shocked, but she quickly stood up respectfully. Seeing the two of them approach, she
bowed politely to the old man.

The old man smiled kindly while scrutinizing her.

Rosalie was wearing light makeup, and her long hair was twisted up, revealing her delicate facial
features and her fair, slender neck. She was dressed in a simple yet dignified-looking long dress, she

Noticing that the old man was looking at her, Rosalie also stood where she was, openly allowing his

The old man looked away from her after a while and gestured to Xander.

“Dr. Jacobs, we’ve kept you waiting.” Xander supported the old man to take a seat opposite Rosalie
and then introduced him, “This is my grandfather, the head of the Lancer family. You can call him.

“Just call me Grandpa Lancer,” Old Master Lancer said with a smile.



There was an air of affinity all over the old master’s body, which made Rosalie feel warm. She smiled
and greeted, “Hello, Grandpa Lancer.”

Old Master Lancer nodded with a smile and went straight to the point. “I asked you out today because I
heard from Xander yesterday that you performed brilliantly at the free clinic. So, I wanted to have a
chat with you.”

Rosalie nodded obediently to indicate that she was listening carefully.

“From what I heard from Xander, the acupuncture method you used isn’t the same as the one
commonly used today. It’s more dated. I wonder where you learned it from?” The old master looked at
Rosalie curiously.

Facing the old man, Rosalie hid nothing and calmly replied, “My teacher is very interested in ancient
holistic medicine and possesses some books in his home. I was fortunate enough to be able to read
them. After that, I explored around and learned about them myself. With my teacher’s guidance and a
lot of time, I developed this acupuncture method.”

Hearing this, Old Master Lancer nodded thoughtfully. The gaze he cast at Rosalie was one of
admiration.

Although Rosalie had emphasized that her acupuncture method was based on ancient medical texts
and Quentin’s guidance, the old master, of course, knew after doing this for so many years that one
needed to study hard to be able to find the right way when it came to acupuncture.

Rosalie must have worked hard to develop this unique acupuncture method.

“Before this free clinic, Old Master Quirke never missed out on praising you every time he contacted
me. when Xander came back from the free clinic the day before yesterday, he also said that you were a



rare, good doctor. I realized that there were no lies from either of them now that we’ve met today,” old
Master Lancer smiled emotionally.

Rosalie subconsciously glanced at Xander beside him. she did not expect Xander to mention herself to
the old man.

Xander smiled at her noncommittally.

“I just prefer researching. If we were to talk about outstanding individuals, there are so many excellent
holistic medicine practitioners in the country whom I may not be able to compare to. Grandpa Lancer,
you give me too much praise.” Rosalie turned around and smiled at the old master humbly.

Old Master Lancer smiled and waved his hand. “In terms of qualifications, you’re indeed inferior to
some others. But I’ve practiced medicine for many years, and I have a good eye for people. You’ll
definitely become the leading doctor in the world with time.”

Hearing the old master thinking so highly of herself, Rosalie was moved, she no longer shied away and
thanked the old master generously. “Then, I humbly accept your blessings, Grandpa Lancer.”

The old master smiled kindly.
