stretched out their hands toward Rosalie.

Rosalie put away her thoughts, smiled, and carried the boys into the car one by one. Nanny Lisa sat
with them in the backseat.

“Mommy, why didn’t you tell US that you were coming to pick US up?” Nox asked cautiously.

Rosalie started the car slowly, and when she heard this, she thought of her sneaky act just now. She
felt a little guilty. “Erm… I just made a sudden decision.” 1

The little one was puzzled. He tilted his head. “But aren’t you busy with work today?”

“Work ended early today, so I suddenly wanted to pick you up.” Rosalie tried her best to sound
convincing.

Lucian’s child-like voice sounded in the backseat. “Mommy is lying.” 1

Nox also looked at his brother in confusion, wondering why he suddenly said that.

“Mommy has been here for a long time, right?” Lucian looked at Rosalie’s face in the rearview mirror
with a serious face.



Rosalie did not expect to be called out by her eldest son and wanted to brush off the matter. “I saw you
as soon as I came here.”

Lucian turned a deaf ear to her explanation and flatly said, “If Mommy really wanted to pick US up, you
would’ve told Nanny Lisa not to come. But Nanny Lisa came over to pick US up, and Mommy arrived
so late. You just said that you got off work early, so you must be hiding something from us!”

When Daddy came to pick Estie up just now, he heard her calling out the word ‘Auntie’.

At that time, he thought it was because Estie missed Mommy too much that she would cry out like that.

Nox reacted much later after realizing it and said innocently, “Just now, Estie was looking for you, so it
seems that she already found out that you were here!”

Lucian nodded. He thought so too. He just did not know why Mommy would not admit it.

Seeing that these two boys did not seek confirmation from her, Rosalie directly acquiesced to the fact
that she arrived a long time ago and felt helpless for a while.

Nanny Lisa, who was on the side, also chimed in without thinking much and asked Rosalie with a
smile, “No wonder you called me in the afternoon. You should’ve been off work then, right?” 1

This confirmed what the boys had suspected. She came very early, but she never showed herself.

Rosalie responded with a wry smile.



The two little boys in the back seat looked at their mommy accusingly.

“Mommy, since you were here, why didn’t you come and see Estie? ” Nox had to ask.

Rosalie glanced at him with a headache. Naturally, she could not tell the little ones about her
entanglement with Melody.

However, this also meant she did not have a suitable reason to explain herself.

because you don’t want to see Uncle Byron?”

‘Otherwise, why did she wait until Uncle Byron and Estie left before coming to pick US up?’

Rosalie heaved a sigh of relief and glanced at the little guys, silently acquiescing.

Speaking of Byron, he was indeed one of the reasons she did not go to see Estie.
