Rosalie and Leon left the orphanage side by side.

Leon looked at her with a deep smile. ” How do you feel about the free clinic today? Judging from Young
Master Lancer’s attitude just now, you should have achieved your goal.”

Hearing this, Rosalie then finally came to the realization.

She had been so focused on the children today that she had forgotten that she came here to win favor
from the Lancers today.

Even when she thought about it, she still felt that the children were more important.

Looking at it now, however, she had not only helped the children, but she had also gained Xander’s
favor.

Xander’s attitude just now explained it all!

Realizing this, Rosalie’s eyes sparkled with excitement, she turned back to face Leon and thanked him
deeply, “Speaking of which, thank you for being here today, Leon. You were a great help.”

Leon raised his brow with amusement. “I don’t remember helping you with anything.”

Rosalie put up her fingers earnestly and began to count. “You must’ve told Young Master Xander plenty
of good things about me in the morning, with you here, I didn’t feel so nervous. Not to mention, you also
helped me when Dr. Rand was heckling me…”



Seeing that she was exaggerating more and more, Leon reluctantly grabbed her wrist and had her put
her hand down. “I just told Young Master Xander that you’re Mr. Luke’s student. I didn’t tell him much
else. As for the rest, those aren’t the reasons why Xander paid attention to your medical skills. You don’t
need to thank me so much.”

Rosalie pursed her lips and smiled.

Leon’s eyes darkened. He then vaguely added, “If you want to thank someone, I think you should thank
Young Master Quirke.”

Hearing this, Rosalie could not help but be stunned for a moment. She then quickly came back to her
senses and explained, “I have no idea what’s with that batch of supplies. Leon, don’t misunderstand.

Leon was still suspicious. “If I remember correctly, you were recommended by the Quirke family to join
the free clinic. Not only that, but you also know the person the Quirke family sent to deliver the supplies.”

He was implying that the Quirkes had specially sent someone Rosalie knew to deliver the supplies to
show that Rosalie was the reason for them.

Rosalie did not expect such a misunderstanding to occur and explained with a headache, “Mr. Juan is
the person in charge of the Quirkes’ medicinal materials. He has had dealings with the research institute.
That’s why I know him. Young Master Quirke might have sent him just because he thought it might be
more convenient. There’s really nothing between US.”

Leon frowned and scrutinized her for a moment. Not catching any unusualness from her face, he then
nodded suspiciously. ” Whatever you say. I just want to remind you of something. No matter who you
choose to be Lucian’s and Nox’s father, you must first consider their feelings. They’ve always been
smart. They already have their own way of thinking even when though they’re young.”



Rosalie nodded and agreed, “I will.”

Speaking of the two boys, Rosalie could not help but think of the children in the orphanage. Her
expression slowly fell.

Leon knew exactly what she was thinking and patted her arm soothingly. “We’ve done all we can. We
can only rely on destiny for the rest. These children are so pitiful. I hope God will pity them too and give
them a new lease of life.”

Rosalie nodded, she could not help but feel powerless.

If her medical skills were just a tad bit better, the children who were sent to the hospital today might not
have been that many.

If she were to research those ancient medical books more, she might come face to face with more
incurable diseases and be able to solve that one boy’s symptoms easily…

“Don’t think too much. It’s late. Lucian and Nox are still waiting for you at home,” Leon reminded gently.

Rosalie then came back to her senses, she bade him goodbye and then turned around to get into her
car.
