Pick Again, The Next One Will Be Better

Benedict did not ask anymore. If his granddaughter wanted to learn, then he would teach.

The grandfather and granddaughter immediately requested a servant bring them pens and ink. They
practiced calligraphy on the dining table in the dining room. Seeing that his father was taking care of
Estie, Byron bade them goodbye and went to the study.

Wendy was seething with anger. As if she could not tell that the wretched little girl wanted to stay away
from her. She refused her several times in front of the Lawrence family!

Due to Estie‘s sudden arrival, it was almost ten o‘clock when Rosalie brought the boys to the research
institute.

After settling the boys in her office, Rosalie began working non-stop. The group of data that Yves had
put forward had not been processed yet. Knowing that she had arrived, he immediately came to the
door.

Both of them practically threw themselves into their work.

It was not until after work hours in the evening that they had reluctantly drawn a conclusion.

Rosalie stretched lazily and noticed that the two little ones were holding onto a laptop and researching
something at the side. She called out softly, “Lucian, Nox, we can go home now.”



Hearing this, the boys looked up from behind the laptop. They nodded obediently, put down the laptop,
and got off the sofa.

Yves looked at the time and suggested with a smile, “It just so happens to be time for dinner. Since you
helped me a bunch today, why don‘t I invite you to dinner with the children?”

Rosalie was stunned for a moment before turning to look at the boys to solicit their opinion. Lucian and
Nox looked at each other. They understood clearly from one look that Uncle Yves wanted to pursue
their mommy.

They had observed them the entire day and felt that Uncle Yves was indeed outstanding. At the very
least, from a professional perspective, he was about the same level as their mommy. The two looked
good together.

However, whenever they imagined a man appearing beside their mommy, their minds would for some
reason only conjure up the figure of their daddy.

It was very strange. They had obviously never seen how their mommy looked standing beside Daddy,
yet they subconsciously felt that only Daddy was suited to stand by her side.

That was why… they should still keep their distance from Uncle Yves! “Thank you, Uncle Yves, but
Mommy has an appointment tonight. I think we should call it a day,” Lucian rejected politely. Yves
looked at Rosalie with confusion.

She had not heard her mention having an appointment that night the entire day. Rosalie glanced at the
boys. Although not knowing why they lied, she still followed their cue.” I asked my best friend to join us
for dinner in the evening. Another day, then.” Yves smiled gently.

“I‘ve been so busy that I forgot to ask if you had any plans. In that case, I won‘t disturb you.”



With that, he bade the boys goodbye and turned to leave. Leaving the research institute, Rosalie
frowned slightly and looked at the boys, puzzled.

“Why did you lie just now? Don‘t you like Uncle Yves?” The two boys shook their heads solemnly.

“We‘re keeping suitors away from Mommy!” Seeing their apparent seriousness, Rosalie was a little
embarrassed.

“No matter what it is, you can‘t just simply lie in the future.” The little ones nodded their heads. Nox
giggled as he went to her side.

“We think Uncle Yves is really good, but you can have more picks. Don‘t worry, Brother and I don’t
need a daddy so soon anyway.” Rosalie could not help but laugh.

“Pick another one? Do you think there are so many fish in the sea?”
